【自然災害被災地の子どもたち-Children affected by Natural Disasters】

「アイキャンビレッジ」では、家が災害に強くなっただけではなく、住民もどんどん増えており、更に商店等を開き、住民の収入が増えていることが確認されました。フィリピンにおける災害後の家づくりの成功事例となりました。

2014年12月大型台風後、被害の大きかったサマール島ドロレス町において、アイキャンは住宅を提供し、土地の交渉を地元政府と行うことで、川沿いの危険な地域に住んでいた住民たちは、地域内にある安全な再定住地に住むことができるようになりました。もともと住んでいた場所からも徒歩圏内なので、海からの収入源も継続して得ることができます。

住民たちは、アイキャンへの感謝の気持ちを込めて、「アイキャンビレッジ」と名付けました。今回の事業終了半年後のモニタリング評価では、多くの波及効果が出ていることが確認されました。アイキャンとして事業の質がどんどん向上していて、嬉しいですね。同じ寄付額でも、できることが増えています。

In "ICAN Village", many outputs and outcomes were observed and this became a success case of housing project after a disaster; houses became more typhoon resilient, more people have moved in, many have increased incomes due to opening small stores.

In the municipality of Dolores, Samar which typhoon hit in Dec 2015, people who lived in river banks have settled in a saｆe relocation site after ICAN provided houses, while local government provided lands. Since it is located in a walking distance, they can keep earning from the sea.

They call the community "ICAN Village" to express the gratitude to ICAN.

1年前の2014年12月に大型台風が上陸したフィリピン中部サマール島ドロレスでは、2014年12月から2015年1月までは約4,000世帯に対して食料と衛生用品、そして2,200世帯に生活用品を提供し、1月から5月までは約300世帯の家づくりの事業を、7月～8月までは約2,500人に学用品の提供を行ってきました。

「もともと、細い木と二パヤシ（と呼ばれる葉っぱ）で作られた家に住んでいました。今回アイキャンが家を再建してくれ、構造は頑丈になるとともに、部屋も広くなりました。今週、強い台風が来ましたが、全く問題はありませんでした。アイキャンに感謝しています。」
1年前の2014年12月に大型台風が上陸したフィリピン中部サマール島ドロレス。ここで、アイキャンが実施した「約300軒の家づくりプロジェクト」の終了後モニタリングを行いました。フィリピンは世界で最も災害被害を受けている国の1つですが、被害を減らすためには、被災前に戻すのではなく、「もとの生活より、よくしていく」ことが大切です。
このサマール島ドロレス町では、2014年12月から2015年1月までは約4,000世帯に対して食料と衛生用品、そして2,200世帯に生活用品を提供し、1月から5月までは約300世帯の家づくりの事業を、7月～8月までは約2,500人に学用品の提供を行ってきました。

We have conducted a post monitoring of housing project in typhoon affected areas of Dolores, Samar where a strong typhoon caused massive destruction of houses in December 2014. “We used to live in a nipa hut with light materials. Thanks to ICAN which constructed our houses, it became much more durable and bigger. Even with the strong typhoon attacked on this Monday, there was no problem at all.”

2年前の2013年11月8日の台風によって、タクロバン市にあるコミュニティに大型船が打ち上げられ、23人が亡くなった。この度、その船首が残され、メモリアルパークとなった。
フィリピンの国旗において、白は平等と友愛を、青は平和、真実と正義を、赤は勇気と愛国心を象徴し、黄色い太陽は自由を表すが、戦時には、上下が逆さまになり、赤が上になる。
まだまだ課題は山積だが、2年経って、タクロバンには、やはり青が似合うと思えてきた。

The Shipwreck located at Barangay Anibong in Tacloban, who killed at least 23 individuals 2 years ago due to Haiyan Typhoon,has turned into a memorial park now.
In the national flag of the Philippines, the while color stands for liberty and equality, the blue stands for peace, justice and prosperity, while the red one stands for the courage and patriotism. And the yellow sun signifies the lasting hope for freedom. It implies a state of war if it is displayed with the red side on top.
Many issues still remain, but the blue side on top designs truly fits Tacloban now. Tindog Tacloban! (Rise up, Tacloban!)

フィリピン中部において7,000人以上の死者・行方不明者を生み出した2013年の台風災害から、11月8日で2年となりました。
アイキャンでは、これまでに、約6万人に対する「水、食料及び生活用品の提供」、約3,500世帯の「家の建設」、125教室の「校舎建設・修復」、2,000名への「学用品の提供」、15村における生計向上活動（緊急雇用）等を終了いたしました。これらは、寄付者やボランティア、そして被災された方々等、アイキャンの活動に参加してくださった皆様一人ひとりの力によって、成し遂げられたものです。心より感謝いたします。
現在、これまでの活動の評価と、次の活動への計画作りを行っております。多くの方々が亡くなったこの悲劇を絶対に繰り返さないという強い信念のもと、甚大な被害から少しでも多くのことを学び、災害に強い地域を作りあげていきます。

2 years have passed since the super typhoon Haiyan caused more than 7,000 casualties in central Philippines.
ICAN was able to provide foods and non food items to 60,000 people, houses for 3,500 families, 125 classrooms rehabilitated, school supplies for 2,000 pupils, emergency livelihoods for 15 communities and many others. They were made possible thanks to your donations, volunteers and power of people in the communities. We deeply appreciate your efforts.
We are in a stage of evaluation and planning for next year. We again pledge to create strong and resilient communities by learning from the experiences.

Those Japanese who have worked in the embassy of Japan in the Philippines and their friends have donated chairs and tables for 100 pupils as well as 2 sets of chairs and tables for teachers in the disaster affected areas in Dulag, Leyte. Thank you!

18日、台風24号がフィリピン北部に上陸し、これまでに2人の死亡が確認されているほか、2万以上が避難しています。これに対し、ICANは現在、最警戒態勢を取っています。

積水ハウス様より、昨年末にサマール島を襲った台風災害被災地の2,631人の子どもたちに対して、学用品一式のご寄付をいただきました。ありがとうございます。
アイキャンは、災害直後より、台風が上陸したサマール島ドロレス町で、約4,000世帯に対する食糧の提供（2014年12月～1月）、約2,200世帯に対する衛生セットの提供（12月～1月）、約300世帯に対する家の建設（2月～5月）を行っており、この度、積水ハウス様からのご寄付で、子どもたちの学用品も揃うこととなりました。

ライジングプロダクション所属のアー ティスト 4 組（DA PUMP、w-inds.、Lead、三浦大知氏）が、杉良太郎氏の協力のもと、レイテ島復興のチャリティーライブを昨年東京で開催し、アイキャンにご寄付をしてくださいました。
このほど壊滅的被害を受けていた16教室の新築・修復が完成し、レイテ島ドゥラグ町のダカイ村で、引渡式典とw-indsの皆さまのミニコンサートが開催されました。まずは、「Love Train」の様子です！（次回の報告に続きます。「いいね」をお願いします。）

4 famous Japanese artists from Rising Production, DA PUMP, w-inds., Lead and Mr. Daichi Miura supported by Mr. Ryotaro Sugi held a charity concert in Tokyo and donated the proceeds to ICAN for Leyte reconstruction projects.
Now 16 classrooms have been reconstructed. the turn-over ceremony and mini-concert of w-inds was held in Dacay elementary school in Dulag, Leyte. “Love train” from w-inds! Here we go! (More reports are coming! Click "Like" !)

70年前の1944年10月、フィリピン・レイテ島ドゥラグ町とパロ市にマッカーサー率いる米軍が上陸、この後、レイテ島は、米軍と日本軍の激しい戦闘の場となり、多くの命が失われました。

2年前の2013年11月には、このドゥラグ町周辺が大型台風の上陸地点となり、甚大な被害を出しました。認定NPO法人アイキャンは、NGOとして最も早くこの地に入り、現在までにドゥラグ町の北半分16村の約3,500軒の家の建設、115教室の建設・修復等を行ってきました。

現在、現地では、学校の修復や収入を増やす活動等が、行われています。継続的な活動にご協力をお願いいたします。

It was in October 1994 that American soldiers headed by General MacArthur landed in Palo and Dulag. Many lives were lost due to the battles between Japanese soldiers and American soldiers in Leyte that time.

2 years ago, typhoon "Haiyan" landed in eastern part of leyte such as Dulag and Palo. We ICAN entered this areas 4 days after the disaster and have constructed around 3,500 houses and 115 classrooms till now. We are still working in this area.
