1年前の2014年12月に大型台風が上陸したフィリピン中部サマール島ドロレスでは、2014年12月から2015年1月までは約4,000世帯に対して食料と衛生用品、そして2,200世帯に生活用品を提供し、1月から5月までは約300世帯の家づくりの事業を、7月～8月までは約2,500人に学用品の提供を行ってきました。

In this Dolores, Samar, where a strong typhoon hit in December 2014, Foods and sanitation supplies for 4,000 households (between December 2014 and January 2015), basic lifesaving materials for 2,200 households ( in January), houses for 300 households ( between January and May) and school supplies for 2,500 pupils (between July and August) have been distributed.

「もともと、細い木と二パヤシ（と呼ばれる葉っぱ）で作られた家に住んでいました。今回アイキャンが家を再建してくれ、構造は頑丈になるとともに、部屋も広くなりました。今週、強い台風が来ましたが、全く問題はありませんでした。アイキャンに感謝しています。」
1年前の2014年12月に大型台風が上陸したフィリピン中部サマール島ドロレス。ここで、アイキャンが実施した「約300軒の家づくりプロジェクト」の終了後モニタリングを行いました。フィリピンは世界で最も災害被害を受けている国の1つですが、被害を減らすためには、被災前に戻すのではなく、「もとの生活より、よくしていく」ことが大切です。
このサマール島ドロレス町では、2014年12月から2015年1月までは約4,000世帯に対して食料と衛生用品、そして2,200世帯に生活用品を提供し、1月から5月までは約300世帯の家づくりの事業を、7月～8月までは約2,500人に学用品の提供を行ってきました。

We have conducted a post monitoring of housing project in typhoon affected areas of Dolores, Samar where a strong typhoon caused massive destruction of houses in December 2014. “We used to live in a nipa hut with light materials. Thanks to ICAN which constructed our houses, it became much more durable and bigger. Even with the strong typhoon attacked on this Monday, there was no problem at all.”

【路上の子どもたち-Children on/of the streets】

株式会社ラッシュジャパン様より、路上の子どもたちに250個の石鹸のご寄付をお預かりいたしました。路上では普段シャワーを帯びることができないために、多くの子どもたちが皮膚病になっています。アイキャンのドロップインセンター等にて、シャワーを提供し、今回ご提供いただいた石鹸を使用させていただくことで、子どもたちの衛生状態が改善していくことが期待されます。

We have received 250 soap (in-kind) donations from LUSH JAPAN CO., LTD. for children on the streets. Many of them have skin diseases since they cannot afford taking showers regularly. It is expected to improve sanitation status of the children by using these soaps while taking showers in ICAN drop in center. Thank you!

【MYアイキャン事業-MY ICAN Project】

45名が、名古屋栄各地で行われたフィリピンの路上の子どものためのアイキャン街頭募金に参加しました。幸田町立南部中学校15名、名古屋国際中学高校6名、名古屋外国語大学5名、愛知教育大学国際協力サークルHearts9名、その他、高校生1名、学生4名、社会人3名の皆さま、とても寒い中、ありがとうございました。みんなで路上の子どもの活動を継続させていきましょう。
次回は12月19日（土））13:00～17:00です！初めての方、学校、サークル、グループでの参加もお待ちしています。

45 volunteers have participated in street donation program held in Nagoya for children on the streets in the Philippines.
They are from Nambu J.H.School(15), Nagoya International J&H School(6), Nagoya University of Foreign Studies(5), Aichi University of Education　Hearts(9) and many other people from elementary kids to Adults. Thank you very much! Let us work together for the better lives of children on the streets.
