仍貢獻物、葉細珠・足高珠・鵜鹿々赤石珠・出石刀子・出石槍・日鏡・熊神籬・膽狹淺大刀、幷八物。仍詔天日槍曰「播磨國宍粟邑、淡路島出淺邑、是二邑、汝任意居之。」時、天日槍啓之曰「臣將住處、若垂天恩聽臣情、願地者、臣親歷視諸國則合于臣心欲被給。」乃聽之。於是、天日槍、自菟道河泝之、北入近江國吾名邑而暫住。復更、自近江經若狹國、西到但馬國則定住處也。是以、近江國鏡村谷陶人、則天日槍之從人也。故天日槍、娶但馬國出嶋人太耳女麻多烏、生但馬諸助也。諸助、生但馬日楢杵。日楢杵、生淸彥。淸彥、生田道間守也。

The Emperor bestowed various offerings, including thin-leaved pearls, high-footed pearls, Uwakaku akai-ishi pearls, Izumo swords, Izumo spears, sun mirrors, bear god fences, and large shallow swords, totaling eight items. He then decreed to Ame-no-Hihoko, ‘You may reside in
either Shisawa Village in Harima Province or Ujiasa Village in Awaji Island, at your discretion.’ At that time, Ame-no-Hihoko replied, ‘If Your Majesty would allow me to follow my heart, I wish to travel through various countries and choose a place that suits my desires to reside.’ His request was granted.
Thus, Ame-no-Hihoko ascended the Uji River and temporarily settled in Anamura in Omi Province. Later, he traveled through Wakasa Province and finally settled in Tajima Province. The potters in the valley of Kagami Village in Omi Province were followers of Ame-no-Hihoko. Ame-no-Hihoko then married Matao, the daughter of Futomimi from Izushi in Tajima Province, and they had a son named Tajima Morosuke. Morosuke fathered Tajima Hinanaki, who fathered Kiyohiko. Kiyohiko fathered Tajimamori.”
The Emperor’s command to Ame-no-Hihoko was to settle in either Shisawa Village in Harima Province or Uchiasa Village in Awaji Island, as he pleased. However, Ame-no-Hihoko expressed his wish to choose his dwelling place by traveling through various countries and selecting a place that resonated with his heart. This wish was granted.
Consequently, Ame-no-Hihoko journeyed up the Uji River, briefly resided in Anamura in Omi Province, and after traveling through Wakasa Province, he eventually settled in Tajima Province. 天皇は、天日槍(あめのひほこ)にお命じになりました。「播磨国(はりまのくに)の宍粟邑（しさわのむら)と、淡路島の出浅邑(うじあさのむら）の二つに、心のままに住むがよい」と言われました。しかし、天日槍は「私が住む場所は、もし私の望みを許していただけるならば、自ら諸国を巡り歩き、私の心に適(かな)った所を選ばせていただきたい」と申しました。そしてそのお許しをいただきました。
そこで、天日槍は宇治川（うじがわ）を遡り、近江国（おうみのくに）の吾名邑（あなむら）に入り、しばらく住みました。その後、若狭国（わかさのくに）を経て、但馬国（たじまのくに）に至り、住まいを定めました。近江国（おうみのくに）の鏡村（かがみむら）の谷（たに）の陶人（すえびと）は、天日槍(あめのひほこ)に従っていた人たちです。天日槍は但馬国（たじまのくに）の出石（いずし）の方、太耳（ふとみみ）の娘である麻多烏（またお）を娶（めと)り、但馬諸助（たじまもろすけ）を生みました。諸助は但馬日樁杵（たじまひならき）を生み、日樁杵は清彦（きよひこ）を生み、清彦は田道間守（たじまもり）を生んだとされています。
