I loathe the TEPCO for her death

Original Entry on June 8th.

I’m sorry that this report is very dark…

Miru, the cat with breast cancer died at midnight on 6th…
She was going to have surgery and I was going to find very kind owner for her. I wanted to make her very happy…
She couldn’t have surgery and her cold got worse because of her cancer. After that, she got weaker and weaker…
I was trying to focus on saving animals in front of me rather than waste energy blaming the TEPCO. There was no point blaming it because it already happened and nobody can change the fact. I was trying to hold back my anger but Miru's death has triggered hatred towards the TEPCO.

Whether or not her owner had problems, she would have had a much happier end if she was with the family she loved rather than die in a clinic surrounded by strangers.

Also Boo became ill suddenly on the 3rd and she went to the clinic that night. The next day she started to have terrible diarrhea and vomited blood. She had shots and an IV drip twice a day at the clinic. Also, I gave her a subcutaneous infusion for four days.

On Saturday, Boo’s owner’s mother and her five grandchildren came to see Boo and they told her “please get well” stroking her with their small hands. . However Boo past away early in the morning on the 6th.. I’m sorry that I ended up making those children cry…

Boo came here with Kon and the next day, Kon had babies. I was going to wait to vaccinate Boo, Kon and the babies when the babies were big enough… Therefore, I kept them away any newcomer cats. Even though I was so careful, Boo ended up with an infection. We took her to a clinic and she was diagnosed with a Parvovirus.

I don’t believe that Boo was infected while she was here usually Parvovirus takes hold when a cat is a kitten. I don’t believe that there are any other infected animals here but I am nervous. I will be watching the animals that were close to Boo for any signs of symptoms.
When it comes to trying to prevent the spread of infection, you can never be too careful. If you are dealing with animals or volunteering to care for animals, please make sure all the animals you deal with are vaccinated as soon as possible.
People in animal volunteer groups are saying that the animals in Iitate-mura are treated badly, no spaying or neutering, no vaccinations or anti-worming measures. Actually there are no animal clinics in Iitate-mura… Probably they don’t have anyone there to tell them how to take care for animals in terms of health and sanitation. We should start explaining to them that cats and dogs need to have vaccinations and dogs need to be protected against feraria
disease. Then by the time people and animals can live in Iitate-mura again, they will know what has to be done when you have animals. I don’t want Boo’s death to go waste.

It’s so awful.

Boo’s owner said she wanted to pick up Boo’s ashes. You can now always stay with your family, Boo.

I’m sorry Miru and Boo. I wasn’t good enough for you and you two had very hard time… I’m so sorry.

The day before Miru was going to cremate, Mr.O stayed with Miru over night. Mr.O loved her a lot even though he was scratched and bitten.

I often hear a repeated phrase in dramas:“God gives us difficulties, which are designed for us to overcome”.
However there are so many tragedies coming, one after another I feel like I’m going to be swallowed up by them eventually.
