don't make noise

Fortunately he has been getting better but, Yoshi, my husband caught a cold right after we welcomed a new year.

We had been in Osaka, where Yoshi was born.  Yoshi's brother and his family were also there in their parents' place. It was a family get-together.  Our nieces had a cold at the time.  Wet coughs was the only symptom. Obviously Yoshi caught the cold from them.

Hmm... I thought I would be the one who get it. They directly coughed at my face many times when I played with them!  It turned out Yoshi became ill and I am totally fine!

Anyways, Yoshi seemed to have hard time when sleeping. He snores sometimes but it got noisier. Maybe sputum in his throat somehow made him do that. It was weird he made noise not only when he inhaled, which is normal snores, but also when he exhaled.  Sounded like, '...zzzz....(inhale), Aaaahhhhhhh.....(exhale),  ...zzzz...., Aaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh.....' It really sounded like he was possessed by a bad spirit or something!

Half of me worried if his breath stops, but the other half of me just couldn't stand it.  It was too noisy to sleep next to him!  I was like, 'Pleeeeeaaaase....!!!'

By the way,  Jack, my dog, sleeps in Yoshi's bed.  (Sometimes in my bed.  )

Annoying enough, Jack also started to make funny noise next to noisy Yoshi!  I guess the sound was Jack's snoring but,  sounded like, 'cup,cup,cup,cup,cup....' his lips waving with his expiration. Their crazy harmony was a kind of funny and I liked it.  BUT! It is midnight, guys!!!!

good morning

Good morning!

... It feels like a bit embarrassing to say 'Hi' here after such a long time absence.   Whoa..., I have missed last summer and fall.. What a ...!  I was extremely busy last summer because I work for a cafe located in the mountain resort, where people come for some cool air and atmosphere.  It is fun doing mountain stuffs by the way, like searching for butterflies beetles  and stag beetles. Tramping along mountain trails in the early morning. Maybe you could bump into some wild animals such as chipmunks, deers and foxes.  Anyway.  Lots of fun-seekers come in summer means that we have to work like CRAZY!!! Of course to entertain them. Plus, I have my husband who is also a summer fun-seeker.  I have to calm him complaining about me working on weekends ... It is also a tiring job.

... Quite a few thing happened to me and people around me after the summer. I was too tired to write about what happened and how I felt.  I was so confused and overwhelmed. I was obsessed by the thought that my relationship just didn't go well.  The harder I tried to fix it, the worse the relationship went.  I am not sure it really was but I just couldn't help thinking that way.

The year turned to 2011 and I think it is about time to become new me! So I am showing up here in my blog once again.  I considered about closing this but I changed my mind. I may not always be able to post interesting articles but, hopefully, you will enjoy my ups and downs about me and in my life.

My cute black dog, Jack is doing just great, by the way!  He has recovered from another diarrhea that caused New Year delicious meals. His tammy is weak but my relatives just kept feeding him. It looked so adorable, both Jack and my uncles and aunts feeding him with smiles!  I should have been the one who stopped them but I Just couldn't be serious enough!  I mean,  who else could stop?  They were really really adorable!!

terrifying thunderbolt

July 22, 2010 /

It was the scariest storm I have ever experienced before!! Thunderbolt struck power poles right in front ofmy house!! What a light and noise ... !! It just froze me with my mouth kept open...

It started to rain around 6 pm. As the thunder came closer, Jack my cute black dog was getting to act more weirdly. I kept cheering him up who looked me up with teary timid eyes. Don't worry Jack! You have me right beside you!

Lightning flashed all over the sky many times and rain was pouring like washing everything outside. Jack's hind legs kept shivering he put his head into the darkness of the pantry staples, ....which was funny! Sorry Jack!
I don't know how many times I cheered Jack up. It was when I tried to rub him, the icy blue lightning and horrifying thunderclap went off at the same time. The next second I saw big spark and then blackout all of a sudden! OH..., MY...!!!!

I held Jack tight in the dark and immediately made a call to Yoshi, who were supposed to be at work. I tried to suggest him not to come back home now otherwise he would be the nest object that the lighting strikes... He said it would be OK because it would take more than 30 minutes to go until he got home.. He advised me back to light candles. Oh, yes, candles. It reminded me the fact that I was panicking. I totally forgot about candles and stayed in the dark!!

The blackout went on like 2 hours and still the power wasn't back. Yoshi and I ate dinner in the candlelight, which wasn't romantic at all by the way. I called a power plant to tell them about the spark. Soon after 2 crane trucks and some workers arrived and tried to fix the power lines. It took hours. When I woke up in the middle of the night, around 2 am, the workers were still working on the line.

Phew...
Living in mountain side is not at all easy...

Goodwill

One thing happened that warmed my heart up today!

Some days ago, when I was walking Jack, I met a black dog without a collar or leash. He seemed to be stray. I thought I was going to take him home but he just left after he ate some Jack's dried dog food that I fed. He was about Jack's size, only stockier than him. He has beautiful face and his calm eyes explained that he was gentle. I saw off him go away over wood. After a while he lingered in my mind... Ah, his serene eyes..

You know what, I had a chance to meet him again!

It was two days later that day, I happened to go to this bakery. The baker asked me if I could adopt a dog. According to him, he rescued this dog hanging around a train station nearby. When he mentioned that the dog was black, the serene eyed dog crossed my mind. He could be the dog I met....!! Then, the baker showed me the dog and I found he was the one...! What a pity, I couldn't get him because I already have Jack...

And then this afternoon, I visited the bakery again with two packs of dog food in my hands. I was going to donate for the dog. He wasn't there actually. Someone has already got him! The baker said the new owner fell in love with the dog and decided to have him right away. Hopefully he will be happy! Sure he will!
Half of me was relieved but half of me was a little disappointed because I couldn't see him again. The baker stopped me leaving the bakery. He smiled and handed me a piece of cake... Wow... Thank you..

I was so touched by the baker's gentle smile. He has just the same serene eyes with the dog... How huge it is that a little goodwill warms up my heart this much.. I am so thankful.. People, please go and try this bakery's bread and cake. Everything they sell tastes just heavenly. No wonder, the bakery is named after some angel's name. ( I heard it is an angel's name.)

Crick! El Bethel

In order to purchase you should call and reserve the cake beforehand!

rice planting

Here comes the season for rice planting!

My uncle planting rice. (and the fat guy walking behind him is my dad!!)

My aunt and uncle taking a rest. A most favorite photo of mine!

I got a call from my uncle a couple of days ago. He asked for my help when he would rice-plant. Luckily the day he planned happened to be my day off. Of course I said 'OK!'

I think my aunt and uncle are loved by the weather. It was sunny and warm. The best day for rice-planting!

Hmmmm.... It felt so good when I soaked my hands into rice paddle. The sun warmed the water and mud so we never felt cold in there. What a relaxation it was! Anyone who are suffered by a stressful life, you should go for rice-planting! The movement of planting is so simple and easy to learn. Once you concentrate on how nicely and beautifully you plant, you will forget every trouble you might have. Imagine, while you plant under the sun crouching on the glittering surface of the paddle, the gentle wind blows you, bees bussing sometimes and birds twittering for you... Don't you think it is heavenly?
