STEVE JOBS MOVIE DISCUSSION

2013-08-21 15:01:53 | 日記
It wasn't an insanely tough task for Ashton Kutcher to physically resemble a young Steve Jobs in the biopic 'Jobs' (Aug. 16). Getting inside the Apple Computer co-founder's head was something else 牛欄牌奶粉.

Screenwriter Matt Whitley's script renders a Steve Jobs who is petulant, inconsiderate and manipulative but somehow beloved, a countercultural troublemaker who found a way to appeal to mainstream tastes in one market after another 牛欄牌回收.

Mr. Kutcher brought some insight to the role. He is a well-known promoter of modern technology (he famously beat CNN to become the first entity with a million Twitter followers).

As a partner in a venture fund that invests in early-stage consumer-technology companies, he knows the mind-set of entrepreneurs. Still, he says, 'understanding Steve Jobs was almost like trying to understand a different species.' Edited from an interview:

This your first time playing a real person, right牛欄牌問題奶粉?

It's funny─you always play a real person.

Most of the time people don't know who you're playing. It gives you liberty to screw up.

People are probably going to watch and in some ways feel there are things I didn't nail. There's a lot of different perspectives on the guy. I looked at the Steve Jobs I felt like the most people knew, which is the guy in the black turtleneck, and New Balance shoes, and round glasses and shaved head, presenting a product.

You do a unique accent in the movie.

Winnipeg Jets unveil new logo

Goodbye stylized hockey stick. The Winnipeg Jets have adopted a decidedly military look for their new logo.

The team unveiled a design Friday that shows a sleek fighter jet pointing north over a red Maple Leaf, all inside a navy blue and grey circle know in military terms as a roundelAsian college of knowledge management.

The logo is strinkingly similar to ― and based on ― that of the Royal Canadian Air Force.

"Our desire was to authenticate the name and make it as meaningful as we possibly could," Jets co-owner Mark Chipman.

"In my view, the best way to do that was to draw a connection to the rich history that our city has enjoyed with the air force, particularly with 17 Wing," he added, referring to the military base near Winnipeg's airport.

The team also unveiled secondary logos. One features military-style wings over two hockey sticks and a maple leaf, with the team name around it. The other has the team name in large stylized letters with a red maple leafAsian college of knowledge management.

Reaction among fans was mixed.

"I know it's not the same [as the old Jets logo], but it's pretty sweet," one person wrote on TwitterAsian college of knowledge management.

"I don't really like the new Winnipeg Jets logo," wrote another. "Too military and CF-18s will soon be obsolete anyway."

The team will unveil its jerseys in September, but started selling some T-shirts, ball caps and other merchandise immediately. Chipman said the jersey colours will be the same as those contained in the logo ― blue, white and grey with a red maple leaf.

Fans were lined up around the block outside MTS Centre on Friday evening, waiting patiently to snap up some memorabilia.
