The governor of Okinawa Prefecture has called for revisions to the Japan-US Status of Forces Agreement governing the US military in Japan.
Governor Takeshi Onaga made the appeal on Thursday following a US military helicopter crash off Uruma City in eastern Okinawa the previous day. He spoke to reporters in Naha City.
Onaga complained that the prefectural government has not received detailed information about the accident.
