Sample #3 Bags with wired opening

2014年06月16日 | My Projects
The following bags are used wires at opening.

The shape keeps when the bag opens so it is convenient.

Both bags are used the same patterns
but the pattern arrangement is different.
I would like to show the pattern difference,
so bigger size bag is recommended as a making project.

The wire is important.
Three kind of sized wired are sold in Japan as far as I find out,
but they can be made with around 3mm diameter wires.

The project is for intermediate.

Sample #2 Mini-quilt

2014年06月16日 | My Projects
This is a mini-quilt with "Pin Wheel" which you have shown to me.
It takes a time-consuming project,
because I have added small pin-wheel blocks around edge.
Small pin-wheels are made from leftover fabrics
after cutting the center blocks, though new some fabrics are added.

The making process is so simple but time-consuming work.
Therefore, when making a project, only center nine pin-wheel will be sewn.

The following pattern is also pin wheel but more complicated.
The sample will be provided for just show to people as variation.

The mini-quilt with pin-wheel is for beginners.

Sample #1 Table Runner

2014年06月16日 | My Projects
The following photos are the projects,
which I am going to provide...

The first one is a table runner with five blocks named "Monkey Wrench".
This pattern are made with paper-foundation method.

The blocks are arranged:

The original pattern comes from "Rose Garden".
By changing colors in one block,
the pattern comes totally different from the block "Monkey Wrench".
The variations are later shown.

This project is for intermidiate.
The stabilizer not the batting is used for this project.
But if a thin batting can be provided,
free-motion quilting will be able to add.

LOG CABIN BLOCK

2012年05月07日 | My Projects

Maybe you are familiar with one of the patchwork blocks, "Log Cabin". You will find the center fabric in red, it means the fireplace in the living room bulit up with logs. This log cabin is normally made with light and dark portions. I believe this is one of the basic and easiest blocks for patchwork quilt beginners.

If you change layouting fabrics and sew their sewing orders, you can make another different block named "Courthouse Steps".

Here is my project using the courthouse steps.

The quilt blocks have lots of variations. Find your favorite blocks and arrange them with your imagination.

This is going to be great for you
