Re: 向前線警員到敬 Salute - Thank you sir!

Dear Sir,

I am a Japanese Hong Kong resident. I have been living here since 1996.

On 1st of November 2010, I was badly injured during my visit to Lamma Island where I used to live. It was indeed an unfortunate incident. However, I was so impressed how police officers in frontline work promptly and efficiently even they have their own difficulties – location, shortage of human power and facilities. Following an excellent liaison work of the local officers, the Cheung Chau Division and the Marine South Division, I was safely transferred to Hong Kong Island by Police Launch 54 and immediately admitted to Queen Mary Hospital. I later found that their appropriate decision, arrangement and teamwork changed the whole - I was, and have been, consulted by one of best doctors and his team of hand specialists at earliest stage within the public medical service for ordinary people.

I sincerely wish to explain my heartfelt appreciation to all of you, and am hoping the same level of public service will be available to your people in my country.

Faithfully yours,

Junko FOX,
