石割山（標高は1,413m）は、富士五湖の１つである山中湖の北に位置し、富士山の眺望が素晴らしい山です。

八合目付近には、迫力ある大岩がご神体の石割神社があり、幸運が開けるというパワースポットでもあるのです。

石割神社鳥居前（参拝者用駐車場有）から歩き始めれば、山頂までは70分（目安）ほどの比較的歩き易いハイキングコースです。

石割神社までは403段の階段を登りきり、さらに30分ほど歩き続けた場所にございます。

※つまり、石割神社まで行けばあとは20分程で山頂に行けます。

「石」の字の形に割れた迫力ある大岩をご神体とし、ご祭神は天手力男命（あめのたぢからおのみこと）です。日本神話で、天照大神(あまてらすおおみかみ)が隠れた天の岩戸を引き開けた大力の神様です。
開運・厄除・追儺（ついな）・長寿息災のご利益があるとされ、岩の割れ目からしみ出る水は眼病、皮膚病に効くともいわれ、霊水として信仰されています。（冬季は凍結）
また、この大岩には人一人がやっと通れるほどの隙間があり、古くからこの隙間を時計回りに3回通れば幸運が開けるといわれているのです。

山頂からの展望は素晴らしく、眼前には大きな富士山、眼下には山中湖が見えます。
しかも、ここから見る富士山は末広がり！
富士山は上から見ると真円ではなく、北北西から南南東に伸びた楕円形をしており、そのライン上に側火山が集中しています。

石割山からは天候さえ良ければ、11月と1月の年2回、富士山頂に日が沈む「ダイヤモンド富士」が見られます。
観測日時の目安は、11月26日前後（15:48頃）と1月16日前後（16:11頃）。パワースポットの山から見るダイヤモンド富士は、更なる感動をくれる筈です。

【桂（かつら）御神木】

石割大権現様が鎮座まします霊山・石割山の標高千三百メートルの高地に自生するこの桂の巨樹は日本でもひじょうにめずらしく地元民から御神木として崇められている
またこの神木の後にはお釜石という釜の形をした水の沸きでる石があり地元民山中湖村民の水の源でありその上流「桂川」の名前の由来として言われ古くは旱魃のさいはこの場所で地元民により雨乞いの儀式が行われたとも伝わる

Mt. Ishiwari (at an altitude of 1,113 m) is located in the north of Lake Yamanaka, one of the Fuji Five Lakes, and has a wonderful view of Mt. Fuji.

Near Hachigome, there is a stone-wari shrine with a powerful large rock, and it is also a power spot where you can have good luck.

If you start walking from the torii gate of Ishiwari Shrine (there is a parking lot for worshippers), it is a relatively easy hiking course to walk about 70 minutes to the top of the mountain.

It is located in the place where you climb the 403 steps to Ishiwari Shrine and continued to walk for about 30 minutes.

※In other words, if you go to Ishiwari Shrine, you can go to the summit in about 20 minutes.

The powerful large rock in the shape of the shape of "stone" is a shintai (a sacred object of worship housed), and the enshrined deity is Amen no Tajikarao no Mikoto. In Japanese mythology, it is the god of great power who opened the heavenly rock door hidden by Amaterasu Omikami. It is said to be the benefits of good luck, warding off evil, Tsuina, and longevity, and the water that oozes from the cracks of the rocks is said to be effective for eye diseases and skin diseases, and is worshipped as a spiritual water. ( Frozen in winter) In addition, there is a gap in this large rock that only one person can finally pass through, and it is said that if you pass through this gap three times clockwise for a long time, you will be lucky.

The view from the top of the mountain is wonderful, and you can see a big Mt. Fuji in front of you and Lake Yamanaka under your eyes. What's more, the Mt. Fuji seen from here spreads! Mt. Fuji is not a true circle when viewed from above, but has an oval shape extending from north-northwest to south-southeast, and side volcanoes are concentrated on the line.  From Mt. Ishiwari, if the weather is good, you can see "Diamond Fuji" where the sun sets at the top of Mt. Fuji twice a year in November and January. Estimated observation date and time are around November 26 (around 15:48) and around January 16 (around 16:11). アクセス：

【車の場合】

・東富士五湖道路の山中湖インターチェンジを下りて忍野・平野方面、もしくは東名高速の御殿場インターチェンジより国道138号線を進み、山中湖方面へ。

国道413号を山中湖畔の平野（ひらの）交差点から道志方面へ500mほど進むと、左手に小さな赤い鳥居があります。その手前の道を左折し、1kmほど進んだ終点に石割神社の駐車場があります。

【バスの場合】

・バスタ新宿から京王バス東・富士急山梨バス・フジエクスプレスの共同運行する「富士五湖」行き高速バス（新宿~富士五湖線）に乗車し、終点の山中湖（平野）で降車する。※ 運賃は2,100円。
