先日ご紹介したネパールの生産者団体「ＡＣＰ」から、5月12日に発生した、2度目の大地震後の状況について連絡を受けました。
ＡＣＰはたくさんのスタッフや職人を抱えていますが、多くの人が家を失い、テントや近くの学校に身を寄せている方もいらっしゃいます。
銀行や学校などのサービス機関は、働ける人が少なかったり、建物自体が損傷を受けているため、十分に機能していません。
ネパール全土で多発した山崩れや地滑りで、たくさんの人が亡くなり、多くの道路がふさがれています。
5月12日の2度目の大地震で再閉鎖したＡＣＰの事務所は、再開しましたが、まだスタッフや職人は少ない状況です。
通常の生活を取り戻そうと頑張っていますが、強い余震が起こるたびに自信をなくします。
5月12以降、人々はまた怯え、仕事に戻ることができないでいます。
今はまだすべてのメンバーの詳細な状況を把握できていない状態です。

Thankfully we are safe here ! Some of the artisans who lost their homes are living under tent or nearby schools. Many of us have our homes cracked. The basic services such as banks, schools etc are also not operating in full scale because of building damages and less staff members. Lot of landslides are taking place all around our countries because of which many people lost life and many of the highways are blocked.
Our office was again closed after second big earthquake on May 12. It re-opened today. But very few staffs and artisans are here. We trying very hard to go back to our normal life and have work in full fledge but strong aftershocks are taking our confidence again and again.
We were starting to have all people at work forgetting the trauma we had on April 25 but after May 12, people are again frightened and have not been able to get back to work. Hope within next week, all our artisans and staffs can get some more strength and try to go back to normal life. As for now, we are not in a situation to have all details about all our people here. We again have to collect data from all our colleagues and artisans after second quake. We were contacting everyone as sooner as possible.
