Hi Green Tea. Excellent job. Your sentences are almost perfect, but I fixed up a few tiny things and added "the" to several sentences.

I went to see fall leaves on Sunday.
>>>I went to see the fall leaves on Sunday.

Fall leaves this year are stunningly beautiful.
>>>The fall leaves this year are stunningly beautiful.

Tokyo's leaves begin to change color in late November.
In Tokyo the autumnal foliage period comes in late November.
>>>Perfect! (The second one sounds very formal.)

4. 紅葉を見たかったら、京都がお勧めです。
I recommend that you view red leaves in Kyoto.
>>>Perfect.
Another answer is "If you want to see the Autumn leaves, I recommend Kyoto.

5. You'll be able to see maples, Japanese maples, some other kinds of maples, gingkos and Japanese horse chestnuts.
>>>Perfect.

6. Autumn leaves are expected to be at their peak around the day after tomorrow.
>>>The autumn leaves are expected to be at their peak around the day after tomorrow.

7. I went hiking to view fall leaves.
>>>I went hiking to see the fall leaves.
(Usually we use "view" for cherry blossoms, but not for fall leaves.)

8. The leaves have all fallen.
>>>Perfect.

Hello Ed,

Thank you for the response.
May I ask why "the fall leaves," not "fall leaves," is correct?

About "the fall leaves" (Ed)

If you say, "Fall leaves are beautiful" it's fine without "the." You don't need "the" because you're talking about fall leaves in general.
If you say "fall leaves this year" you are talking about a special group of fall leaves, so you should say "the fall leaves this year."
