日増しに散策路内の雪も徐々に解け高山植物の花も種類が増えています。
Each day the snow continues to melt while the amount of alpine flora are gradually increasing in number. Above shows a photo of the nanakomodo ナナカマド beginning to blossom. This plant, along with the haimatsu ハイマツ (Siberian dwarf pine) is underrated as it offers refuge to a handful of migrating birds including the ginzamashiko ギナザマシコ (pine grosbeak), nogoma ノゴマ(Siberian Rubythroat), and hoshigurasu ホシガラス(spotted nutcracker), among others. In time these birds will be thriving as the plants continue to grow leaves and bear fruits.

Trail Conditions vary from snow covered, wet, to dry and clear of snow. We recommend wearing hiking boots or renting our waterproof rubber boots when doing the simply loop. If you plan to hike to Asahidake Peak, there is not snow between the 6th station and the 10th station mountain peak.
