今日は、友人の格闘家のサプライズ結婚パーティーに
呼んで頂きました

感激


彼の道場のみなさんが、２人の為に一生懸命企画し、そして
一生懸命バレない様にみんなで「騙して」(*^_^*)
今日まで内緒にしていました


会場の、イタリアン・レストランには
２人の門出を祝う、仲間たちでいっぱい

私は、歌を１曲歌わせて頂きました


色々なファイターや、元ファイター、過去
新郎と同じ道場にいた人などがたくさん



私は、大好きな村田卓実さんと少しお話し出来たことと
帰りに、あの戸井田カツヤさんが歌のことを
誉めてくれたことと
選手のマウスピースで有名な、歯科医の田中先生が
名刺を下さったことが、予想もしていなかったこと
だし、とても嬉しかったです





おめでとうございます！
どうか、末永くお幸せに〜〜〜








I attended the surprise "wedding" party for my friend fighter
tonight.

I was delighted to be invited.

All the fighters in his gym planned the party
and kept it secret with all their might.


The Italian restaurant was filled with
his friends celebrating their start of the new life.



I sang "Over the Rainbow" a capella.



Many fighters, retired fighters,
and the guys who used to be training with the bridegroom.
They all managed their schedules for the party.



I was happy
to have a chance to talk to my favorite fighter
Takuya Murata.

and to hear
that famous Katsuya Toida said
"thank you for the great singing".
Wow!

and I was also happy that famous
dentist Dr. Tanaka came up to me
and gave me his name card.

I wish you health, wealth, happiness
and eternal love.

今日は、10月3日のパンクラスのチケットを買いに
P's Lab 横浜に行ってきました〜


金井一朗選手、鳥生将大選手、伊藤嵩文選手、川村亮選手、
渡辺大介選手、北岡悟選手もトレーニングしていらっしゃい
ました。


９月５日には、鳥生選手、川村選手、そしてWindy智美さんも
出場されるのですが、私が仕事で行けないのが、とても残念
です。


私が到着すると、PSY・SのCDを流して下さっていて
ismの皆様の真心、ありがとうございます


帰りは馬車道から帰ろうと思って、途中、タリーズに
「来ない？」とつぶやいたら、みな、忙しかったり
遠方の人だったり


やっぱり、急には無理だよね、と思って、さぁ
お腹すいたし、お気に入りの中華料理屋へ
行ったら、ランチは終わり、ディナーまでお休みだったので
諦めて、駅へ


すると、その頃に、少し遅れて「行きます」と言ってくれた
方がいたので、改札まで行ってたけど
申し訳ないからタリーズへ戻った
でも、その方はいらっしゃらなかった

何か事故とかじゃなければいいんだけどなと思った
３時半まで待って、それから自由が丘へ。

帰りは自由が丘で、友達と会って
大戸屋へ行った。自由が丘の大戸屋は
注文はテーブルで、支払いは後払い。

twitterで、私のfollower（歌手）が
尊敬する尾田悟さんが私のことを
大変に誉めて下さっていたことを
伝えてくれて、泣いてしまった

「ジャズなら、CHAKAさんを
　目指さなきゃ」と。

一昨日、めそめそしていた自分が
恥ずかしかった





I visited P's Lab Yokohama to get a ticket of
Pancrase on October 3rd.


I was happy to see many great fighters such as
Ichiro Kanai, Masahiro Toryu, Takafumi Ito,
Ryo Kawamuwa, Daisuke Watanabe and Satoru
Kitaoka...


Masahiro Toryu, Ryo Kawamura and Windy Tomomi
will fight at Pancrase on this coming Sunday, but
I can't go because of the rehearsal. I am so
disappointed.


They played one of my songs I sang in PSY・S
when I arrived. Thank you very much.


I walked to Bashamichi to take the Toyoko Line on
the way back. I dropped in Tully's on Bashamichi
street. I tweeted "does anyone want to come? I will
treat you a cup of coffee." on Twitter, but noone
could make it because everybody was busy or too
far.


Noone seemed to make it.
OK.
I found that I was hungry, so I decided to go
to my favorite Chinese restaurant about two
blocks away.

The Chinese place was close.
The lunchtime was over and they were close
until the dinnertime.
OK...I see.

I gave up on my favorite Curry flavored fried pork,
（damn good! you must try!)
and headed to Bashamichi station.

Then someone posted a reply to me that he would
go to Tully's. "Oh, what am I gonna do？"
I was almost at the gate, but I did not want to
make him disappointed, so I pulled back to Tully's
and waited for him.

He didn't show up.

but it's OK.
I just hoped he did not get involved in an accident
or something.

I waited until 3:30 and then I left.


I met up with my friend at Jiyugaoka
and then we went to Otoya to have
a very late lunch.

Otoya in Jiyugaoka is different from others.
We place and order to a waitress at the table
and pay when we leave.


At night, one of my followers (she is a singer) on
Twitter told me that a great saxophone player
Mr. Satoru Oda spoke highly of me as a jazz
singer.

He said to her
"You must sing like Miss Chaka if you want to sing
jazz."

It made me cry for gratitude for Mr. Oda.

I felt ashamed of myself becoming pessimistic
the day before yesterday.

Thank you. Mr. Oda.

This is my yesterday's diary.

I went to my nail salon and got my nails done
like this. What do you think?







午後のほとんどは、カフェで本を読んですごした

I spent the most of the afternoon reading
a mystery in a cafe.



ミステリー小説が好きだ。
今読んでるのは、刑事が主人公。
半分ほど読んだけど、面白い。

I love reading mysteries.
The hero in this story is a police detective.
Now I've read about a half of it. It is interesting.

でも、ミステリーファンの１人として
うんざりしているのは、主人公が妻や子供にいつも
何かあると予定を変更しなくちゃならなくて申し訳ない
と思っている、という設定。

However, as one of the mystery fans.
I am fed up with the situation that the hero feels
sorry for his wife and daughter because he always
has to cancel plans with his family whenever
something happens.


これまでに読んだ、刑事モノのほとんどが
主人公が申し訳ないと思っていて
妻や子供は、主人公が忙しいことを責めている。

In most of the police detective stories I have read,
the hero feels sorry and his wife and children
blame it.

理解は出来るが、もういい。

I understand that the situation like that is very useful
to make the story strained and tense, but I'm tired of it.

裏表紙の解説では、衝撃のラストが待っているらしいので、
楽しみだ。

The explanation on the cover says that it has an
ending which is unexpectedly astounding and
shocking. I am looking forward to it.





帰り、いつもと違う道を通った。

I took the different way to go back home.


この家の人は、いつも赤紫の花が好きなようだが、
夕暮れにとても綺麗。

The residents in this house seem to be fond of
fuchsia colored flowers. It was so beautiful in the
twilight.





携帯カメラの限界。
実際は、もっともっともっと綺麗。

This is the limitation of the camera on my cell
phone. Real color is much more beatiful






夕焼けを見ると、秋の歌が聞こえる、ね。
早く涼しくならないかな。

When I see the sunset, I think I hear the sky
is starting to sing a song of Autumn.
I can't wait for the cool weather.





今日は、あんまり元気じゃなかった。
ネガティブな考えに、圧倒されそうになった。

I was not very Genki today.
I was almost going to be overwhelmed by
negative thoughts.


みんな、私の歌を求めてくれてるのかな？

Do they want me to sing?


望みを諦めかけた時、友人がライブの出演依頼をくれた。

The moment I was just about to give up hopes,
one of my friend musicians gave me an e-mail
and offered a singing job.

で、夜遅く、
別の友人からメールで、あるライブハウスのマスターが
私をブッキングしたがってるからと伝えてくれた。

and late at night, another friend gave me an e-mail
and told me that the owner of a jazz club wanted to
book me professionally.


私は仏教徒。知らないかもしれないけど、仏教の中
にも,
キリスト教の神とは違うけど、神という存在はある。
諸天善神（しょてんぜんじん）と書いて、仏教を修行
する人を良い方向へと導いてくれる宇宙の働きのこと。

I am a Buddhist.
Maybe you don't know, but in Buddhism, there are
gods called Shoten Zenjin. In Kanji it is written as
諸天善神. It is different from the God all might of
Christianity. Shoten Zenjin is the workings of the
universe which lead the people who practice
Buddhism to a better way.


今日の３人は、諸天善神として私のところに
来てくれたのかな？私をネガティブな精神状態から
助け出すために。

Were they sent to me as Shoten Zenjin? to
help me out from the negative state of mind?



何にせよ、感謝。ありがとうございます。
それから、暖かい励ましのメッセージをくれた
何人かのお友達にも。

Whatever it is, I am thankful for them.
and for some of my friends who gave me warm
messages to encourage me.


明日は、また大学。
これから歌を目指す人を指導する。
だから、それまでに、元気になれてよかった。

I am going back to college tomorrow.
I am glad I am Genki again before I meet
young people who are now starting to walk
this long road.

銀座へ

I went to Ginza.




ダイちゃんとしゃぶしゃぶランチ。





I met up with my friend Dai-chan and had Shabu Shabu for lunch.



デザートは抹茶アイスクリーム



I had Japanese green tea ice cream for dessert.




食後、ブラブラして、ふと見つけた素敵な珈琲屋で
少し休憩
すごく気に入りました



We took some rest at the coffee house we just happened to find
while strolling in Ginza. I love the place.







一週間よく働いたし、ケーキ



I indulged myself in having a piece of chocolate cake
because I worked hard and good this week.





帰り道、ちょっとミステリアスな夕焼け
綺麗だから、撮った




On the way back, I took a photo of the sunset
which was beautiful and a bit myserious.

レッスン、そして関内へ

仙台の女の子、今日の午前中の１コマで4日間レッスン
最終日。 なんだか寂しいな。レッスン開始時点で、
ちょっと寂しかった。 でも、また来月すぐ会える。

今日のレッスンには彼女にとって全く新しいことも、
あったようで、よかった。

また、来月！

I went out of the schoolhouse and looked up to the
sky. I saw it is starting to sing a song of Autumn.



お昼は、中華料理屋さんで食べて帰宅。


夜は、横浜は馬車道にある上町63でライブ。
好きなお店です。



金井一朗さんが指導してらっしゃるのは
このジムかもしれない。

I think Ichiro Kanai is a trainer of this gym.

今日は、ちょっと弱気になった。
けど、お客様も暖かいし、ゲルシもすごいから
元気に歌えた。ありがとうございました。



I gave a lesson to the girl from Sendai in the
morning. She took my lessons for 4 days. She will
go back home tomorrow, maybe.
I was starting to feel lonely from the beginning
of our session today, but I will see her again
soon, in next month.



She said she learnt something very new for her
in our session today. I was glad to hear that.

See you next month.

I went out of the schoolhouse and looked up

I went home after I finished lunch at the
Chinese restaurant.


In the evening, I went to Bashamichi,
Yokohama to sing at Kanmachi 63,
my favorite club.


Shigeru Morishita, the pianist tonight
played great.


I was not very fine right before I started
singing, but with the wonderful audience
and Gerushi, I sang pretty good.

A Happy Day

It was a happy day yesterday.

昨日は、楽しい日だった。


午前中、仙台からの生徒さん、１人レッスン。
彼女は、これまでの私が受け持った生徒さんの中で
驚くべきスピードで上達している。

I gave a lesson to the girl from Sendai in the morning.
She is amazing. She is improving so quickly.
I haven't had a student like her.

英語の発音も
「これはこうだよ」と言うと、その場ですぐ出来て
次からも、ちゃんと出来る。
覚えたことを忘れない。

For instance,
Her English pronunciation is not bad, but not good enough.
So I give her an example, then she gets it so quickly.
She can sing with better pronunciation next time
and she does not forget what she learnt.
Wow!


きっと、これまで素晴しい音楽を聞いて来て、
右脳が素晴しいのだと思う。それの使い方を
今、知ったのだろう。

I guess she has been listening to good music a lot
since she was little. She has an excellent right brain,
and now she is learning how to use it.

そして、一日ずつ、驚くほど、何かを誰かに届けたいと
気持ちを込めている度合いが深くなる。すごい！

to top if off, her faith in music is growing
day by day. At first she sang to sing, but now
she sings to entertain someone and encourage
someone. Great.

砂漠に咲く、たくましいサボテンが
水を吸収するように、学んでいる。
ちきしょ〜〜〜、私もそんな風にもっとうまくなるぞ！
いえ〜〜い

She is learning and improving
like a cactus in the dry land absorbing water.
Oh.... I will try to improve myself like that.

レッスン終えて、一旦帰宅、シャワーして
いざ、後楽園ホールへ。
友人のキングぶ〜ちゃんと待ち合わせ。

After the lesson, I went home, took a shower
and went out again to Korakuen Hall.
Met up with my mixi friend: King Boo.

今日はDeep 49 Impact

We watched Deep 49 Impact.





結構良い試合ばっかりで、楽しかった！

It was a very good event with many exciting fights.


何と言っても、この一戦につきます

The best bout last night was
the title match in middle weight division
Ryuta Sakurai vs Riki Fukuda

桜井隆多さん vs 福田力さん
の、ミドル級タイトルマッチ

川尻達也さんも熱くなって、立って応援！！

It was so exciting that even Tatsuya Kawajiri could not
remain seated. He kept shouting to his training mate
Ryuta Sakurai.

試合１Rで、二人がもつれ合って、隆多さんが場外へ。
すると、そこにあったゴングに顔面をぶつけて
少し大変なことになりました。

In the first round, Ryuta was forced to go out of the ring
and bumped his face badly against the gong.
The fight was suspended for about 3 minutes to
see if Ryuta was OK enough to restart fighting.

福田さん、防衛。
でも、二人とも、本当にすごかった。
ありがとう！ありがとう！ありがとう！

The result is....Fukuda defended his championship by TKO.
I think neither is the loser in this fight.
They were both great !!

隆多さんの容態が少し心配です。

I am worried a little about Ryuta Sakurai.


メインイベントも面白かった。
今成正和さんも、防衛。
宮下さんのことは、嫌いでもなんでもないけど
いまなーを応援しているので、良かった。
極めれなかったけど、やっぱりすごい。



The main event was good too.
Masakazu Imanari vs Tomoya Miyashita


Imanari won and defended his championship.
I did not have any bad feelings against Miyashita,
but I was rooting for Imanari. I was happy with the result.
Imanari couldn't win by submission like he used to very often,
but he showed us how strong and great at leg locks.






１０月２４日に、JCBホールで
Deepの十周年を記念するイベントがあるそうで、
なんとそこで前田吉朗さんが大塚隆史さんと闘うそうです。
タイトルマッチ！
吉朗さんを応援に行かなくちゃ！

The representative Saeki-san made an announcement
that they would hold a big event commemorating
the 10 anniversary of Deep
on October 24th at JCB Hall as Deep 50 Impact.

Yoshiro Maeda will fight against the current champ
Takafumi Otsuka. Wow!
I will go supporting Yoshiro !! yeah



吉朗さんと大塚さん以外では
菊野克紀さん、菊田早苗さん、長南亮さんも
出られるとのことです。

Other than Yoshiro and Otsuka,
Katsunori Kikuno, Sanae Kikuta and Ryo Chonan
will fight in this event.

お昼から、二人レッスン。
昨日の生徒さんと、もう１人別の生徒さん。

みんな、技術練習もさることながら
心をいかにポジティブに持って行くか？
が、大変なようだ

もう何人の生徒さんを受け持ったか
数えてもいないけど、（多分200人以上）
歌手を目指す人はみな、いつの間にか音楽が好きになり
いつの間にか歌ってる人ばっかり

元々、音楽が好きだった人ばかり。
だから、好きな歌を練習することは大変じゃない

でも、才能ってのは、ただ歌が元々上手いことではなく
何があっても「私はこんなもんじゃない！」と
前進し続ける力のこと

歌の道は、みんな大変だし、みんな孤独、
だけど、本当に音楽が好きだったら
その道を歩み続けられるでしょう
そして、その先には言葉にはつくせない
素晴しい景色があるのです

二人の若いシンガーに
私は正直に接し、
精一杯、伝えられることのすべてを伝えてあげたい

I had a very late lunch after the lessons.

子供の頃、長い髪をお団子にして頭に乗せてると
よく「マーブルちゃんみたい」と
言われたものです









I gave lessons to two students from 1 p.m., separately.
The first one was the same girl as yesterday's.
A girl from Sendai.

It is much harder for most singers to motivate themselves
than to keep having technical training.

I have given up counting how many students I had
taught. More than 200 I guess.
They have one thing in common.
All of them did not remember when they started
singing and listening to music.

They like music since they were very little.
That's why it is not very hard for them to practice
singing.


"Being talented" in English does not mean the same as
"Saino ga aru" in Japanese. Saino ga aru does not mean
being born good at singing.

Saino means the will to keep improving yourself
no matter what happens, and even when nothing
happens.

We are walking a long and winding road.
Sometimes we shall be overwhelmed by loneliness
and fear for the future.
If you really love music, you can continue
walking on the road, which will lead you to
a place where you can get a wonderful view
beyond description.

I will gladly give everything I've got to
the two young singers.
I promise to be true to them.



I went home and went out again to the studio in my
neighborhood to give a lesson to another singer.

Thank you very much for taking my lessons.


One of the students today gave me
"marble chocolates".
It reminds me of so long ago when I was
a kindergartener. I had a very long hair
worn in a knot on the the top of my head.
People often told me that I looked like
Marble-chan. ( The girl who was modeling
for Marble chocolate on TV commercial )

Very cute.


素晴しい生徒さんだった
教えさせてもらって幸せだ
プロの歌手になって、夢を叶えて
たくさんの人を幸せにして欲しい

The girl from Sendai was wonderful.
I felt happy while I was teaching her.
I wish she will achieve her dreams,
become a pro and make a lot of people happy
with her voice.


一旦、帰宅
午後は、今度は生徒として英語のレッスン
国立へ

I went home, took a quick shower, changed my cloth
and then I headed to Kunitachi to take an English lesson.



夏に、ハイビスカスやひまわりなどの
はっきりした色の花もいいけど
芙蓉などの、淡い色の花をふと見ると
涼しげで綺麗だな。
芙蓉の花は女性を花に例える時に
使われることがある。

I like vivid-colored flowers such as
hibiscus or sunflowers in summertime.
but I also like pale-colored flowers like this.
Colors like this seem to cool me down
in this hot weather.

This is "fuyou" in Japanese.
Fuyou is sometimes used when someone likens
a woman to a flower.
I didn't know that they call a fuyou a cotton rose
in English.

昔、叔父さんがメジロ飼ってた

My uncle used to have a pair of Japanese white-eye.



レッスンは、まるで友達との会話のよう。
ニューヨーク生まれの先生は、とってもフランクで
元気で、オープンな、私と同世代の女性。


My teacher is a Japanese woman of the same generation
who was born and raised in New York.
Very frank, funky and open-minded.
Our lesson is like a conversation between two
close friends.


帰り、国立駅の信号で待っている間
すごく印象的な夕焼けだったから、写真を撮った


I took a picture of the sunset while I was
stopping at the red light near Kunitachi station.
It was so impressive.


誰かが言ってた。
夕焼けが赤くない時、空は汚れてないんだって。

Someone told me that the air is clean
when the sunset is not red.


明日も、晴れ、かな？
そしてきっと、また、暑い、ね

It's gonna be sunny and hot tomorrow like today.
