May.27, 2017 (花冷え)

I got out the garbage this morning.
It is my daily routine.
As soon as I went out, I shivered with unexpected cold north wind.
Also it was raining a freezing rain.
Cold weather has returned.
A weather like this is called “花冷え.”　/　Chilly spring weather.
What a beautiful sound the Japanese language has!

朝、ゴミ出しをした。
いつもの仕事だ
外に出た途端、思わぬつめたい北風に震えあがった
氷雨も降っていた
寒さが戻ってきた
こんな天気を花冷えという
なんて美しい響きだろう。
