訴えるケレン


this is kellen being mad about his tummy time.
i tried to get his laughs on video,
but i can't seem to get the timing right...
so i decided to post a upset kellen.
i think it's still cute.

これは、うつぶせにされた後、怒っている怜君です。
笑っているところものせたいんですが、
なかなかタイミングがあいません・・・。
でも、怒ってる怜君もかわいいと思います。
親バカですみません・・・。

ヘアカット -hair cut-

子供を産むっちゅうのはホント大変だなとまた思い知らされました。

産んでしばらくは全然大丈夫だったのに・・・。

最近髪の毛がめちゃくちゃ抜け始めて、

シャワー中、何回も髪の玉をとります。

とらないと、お湯がどんどんたまるし・・・。

髪を洗ってるときは、手が真っ黒（まではいかないけど）になるし。

シャワーに入ってる時間も長くなってるし、

切ることにしました。

でも、こっちの美容師さんに行くってのはなかなか勇気がいるもんで・・・

でも、ザックの知り合いに美容師がいるってことで

行ってきました。

こんな感じです。

ぱっつんってのがいやなので、いっぱいすいてくださいって

頼んだんだけど、やっぱり、こっちの切り方は日本とは全然ちがうので、

私の思ってたようにはいきませんでした・・・。

こっちの人の髪は細いからすくことをあまりしません。

しかも、こっちの人達、顔が小さいから髪の毛は、ボリュームたっぷりにします。

私の髪の毛にボリュームつけたら、歩く頭になってしまう・・・。

パーマもと思ったけど、こっちにはホント普通のパーマしかないので、

考え中。

世界中、美容師さんが同じテクニックを持ってたら良いのに・・・。

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

眠たい・・・。

 

つい最近、ケレン君が風邪をひいてしまい・・・、

せっかく夜寝れてたのに

全然寝なくなりました・・・。

かわいそうだからと言って、抱っこしたり、一緒に夜起きてあげてたら

風邪が治っても起きててくれると思い込んでるらしく、

夜、寝てくれません！

おかげで、めちゃくちゃ寝不足です・・・。

so... kellen was sick about 2 weeks ago...

he was starting to sleep at night, but...

his schedule got flipped around...

i felt so bad for him so i held him and was up with him all night

but i guess he thought i was gonna do the same thing

when he is well too...

so he won't sleep at night...

we are so sleep deprived...

but i guess it's not just us...

kellen is too...

でも、寝不足は私たちだけではないようです。

昼間、寝ないようにいろいろがんばるのですが・・・

we try everything to keep him awake during the day...

ケレン君、だいぶ疲れてしまってるらしく・・・

but he is so sleepy...

最終的には、こんな感じ・・・。

ケレン君もいるし、クリスマスツリーを飾ることにしました！

これ、木以外はおばあちゃんからのお下がりです。

we've decided to get a christmas tree!

everything except the tree came from grandma helen.

  

結構かわいくできたなと、自分でも満足してます。

初めてのクリスマスツリー。

べつにすんごいツリーってんでもないですが・・・

なんか、うれしい気分です。

i think i did a pretty good job.

this is our first tree.

it's not that amazing, but

ガボガボ

今年もThanksgivingはザックのおばあちゃんのお家へ行ってきました。

七面鳥とか、ポテトとかいっぱい美味しいごちそう

we went to zac's grandparents' house for thanksgiving.

there were lots of good food! yummmm

家族とのんびり楽しく良い時間を過ごせました。

we were able to spend some relaxing and fun time with our family.

 

 

 

ケレン君はすくすくとそだってます。

最近はいっぱい話すようになりました。

いやなことは訴えたり、面白いことには声を出してわらったり・・・。

かわいくてしょうがない・・・。

あと、最近、ケレン君にお友達ができました。

kellen is growing!

lately, he talks a lot.

he lets you know if he doesn't like something and laughs at things that's funny.

he is so cute...

and he made a friend!

で、お友達は誰かと言うと・・・、

そうです。カーテンの棒です・・・。

毎日のように見つめてます。

くらべっこ -comparison-

 

このケレン君のほっぺた・・・

ぽっちゃりしててとってもかわいい

ケレン君を見る人はみんなこのほっぺたがかわいいと言ってくれます。

やっぱ、他の赤ちゃんよりもこのほっぺ大きいのでしょうか？

are they bigger than usual?

i think it's so cute. well, it's probably because i am his mom...

 

 

で、私はよくザックと私が小さかった頃の写真を見て

ケレン君と比べたりします。

と言うことで大公開！

i often look at some pictures of me and zac when we were little.

and compare them with kellen.

so, i thought i'd post a couple so you can see

where kellen gets his cheeks.

こちら、ザックが１歳くらいの写真。

結構大きなほっぺです。

as you can see, his cheeks are pretty big.

最近辛い事・・・ help!

最近、とっても辛い事があります。

それは・・・

 

lately there is something we find it very hard

この笑顔です。

なぜこの笑顔に困っているかと言うと・・・

この笑顔、朝の３時頃見せてくれるんです！

おっぱいをあげているとき意外は

一緒にいてないとすごく大きな声で泣いてくれるし・・・。

だんなの耳栓もあまりたすかってないらしく、

寝不足の私たちです。（ケレン君いがいは・・・）

and the reason for that is....

he smiles like this at 3 in the morning!!!

when he is not eating, he cries real hard if he is not with one of us...

my husband's ear plugs aren't working much

and we are very sleep deprived...

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

最近もう一つ辛い事があります。

それは・・・

 

there is another tough thing.

and that is...

 

 

わかります？

筋肉痛です。

ケレン君を産んでから運動をもう２ヶ月もしてないと言うことで、

そろそろまた運動を始めようと思っていたら、

ザックの通っているジムが２１日間フィットネススタディをするので

ボランティアを募集してるとの事。

トレーナーのもとで運動できるし、ただなので、

これは良いきっかけになると思い、はじめたのですが・・・

もうここ４日間ふくらはぎがめちゃくちゃ筋肉痛になり、

かかとを床に付けて歩くことができてません。

いたたたた・・・。

運動不足って辛いねぇ。

can you see what's wrong with me?

well, i started going to a gym.

they were advertising for volunteers for their fitness study

and i get free member ship for 21 days of exercise with a trainer.

so i thought it would be a perfect opportunity for me to start exercising again.

but wow, i am way out of shape and my calves been sore for 4 days now.

i can't even put my heels down to walk. and i have to have my knees bent

all the time...  how sad...

it really hurts...

i thought i liked to be sore just because i feel much stronger...

but not this time...

ハローウィーン -halloween-

１０月３１日はハローウィーンと言うことで

ケレン君もドレスアップしました。

いとことルービーおばあちゃんからのプレゼントで、

ケレン君がなったのは・・・

for halloween, we dressed up kellen!

his cousin and grandma ruby got him a costume.

and he was...

後ろ姿もかわいいでしょう？

ああ、助かった！

こちらケレン君のいとこの家族。

さすが、アメリカの人達。家族全員ドレスアップしています。

おじさんに近づかれちょっとおどろいたけど

嬉しそうだったケレン君。

初めてのハローウィーンは結構楽しかったです。

来年は私たち親も化けたいです。

next year, we want to dress up too!

 

 

 

 

２ヶ月 -2months-

kellen is now 2 months old!

we went to the doctor for a 2 months check up.

he is healthy and doing well.

 

weight:  12 lbs 14 oz

height:  24 in.

 

the lowest weight was 5 lbs 13 oz,

so he doubled in weight from the lowest!

he is growing so fast!

 

ケレン君もう２ヶ月になります。

で、２ヶ月検診にいってきました。

その結果はと言うと、

 

体重：　５８５５ｇ

身長：　６１ｃｍ

（パウンドとインチから私が計算したのでだいたいの数です。）

 

一番体重が軽いときが約２６４０ｇだったことを考えると

倍以上に成長してるのでちゃんと栄養が取れているのだろうと

安心してます。

 

 

 

 

another thing that's growing is his hair!!!

i thought they'll never come in, but they came in!

and they are getting thicker and longer everyday!

あと、他に成長しているものと言えば、

ケレン君の髪の毛！

はげのままかとどきどきしてましたが、生えてきました！

 

 

 

 

kellen is very active.

he kicks and moves his arms around all the time.

but he still doesn't like to be on his tummy as much...

so we are trying to work on that everyday.

すごく元気なケレン君。

足をばたばたさせたり、腕をぐるぐるまわしたり、

元気なのですが、うつぶせになるのがあまり好きではありません。

なので、毎日ならせるように特訓してます。

 

 

 

 

lately, he picked up a habbit of sucking on his hand or thumb...

it's not like i don't feed him...  but i guess it's something babies do...

さいきん、ケレン君、指をしゃぶるようになりました。

おっぱいいっぱいのんでるのになぁ・・・。

癖になりそうなのでいやなのですが、

赤ちゃんぽくてかわいいかも

なんて思っちゃってます・・・。

 

 

 

 

there is another thing that he's been doing...

he looks up when we are talking to him.

あともう一つケレン君がよくすることは

上を見る事です。

話をしている時はちゃんと人の顔を見てお話しましょうね。

 

 

 

 

people's been telling me that kellen is starting to look like me too.

when he was just born, most people said he looks like zac.

who do you think he looks like?

最近、ケレン君が私に似てきたと言われます。

生まれたばかりの時はザックに似てるとよく言われてたのですが、

さあ、どっちににてるのでしょう？

 

 

 

 

i know it's the flu season, but when it's nice outside, i try to go for a walk.

i think kellen enjoys the fresh air too. 

he usually falls asleep though...

最近インフルエンザがはやってますが、

天気の良い日は外へお散歩に行くようにしてます。

ケレン君も新鮮な空気が好きみたいです。

でも、すぐ寝ちゃいます。

 

 

 

 

we went to provo last weekend.

zac went to a byu game and i went to visit a friend from high school.

when zac was at byu game, he got kellen an outfit.

it's big on kellen, but he looks really cute in it.

先週末、プロボに行ってきました。

ザックはBYUのゲーム、私は友達の家に遊びに行きました。

ザックはゲームを見に行ったときに、BYUのジャージをケレン君に

買ってきてくれました。

ちょっと大きいですが、かわいいし、似合ってます！

将来のアメフト選手？

アメフトの怖い顔。

 

 

 

 

me and kellen went to ruby's house for a visit.

kellen had a great time talking and showing off his charming smiles.

i'm glad he was a happy boy, because it's not fun to have a fussy baby around...

私とケレンはルービーおばあちゃんのお家へ遊びに行ってきました。

ケレン君はいっぱいおしゃべりしたり、笑ったりして楽しんでました。

いとこのまだ１歳のセイディちゃんにいっぱいかわいがってもらいました。

baby blessing

on sunday the 27th of sept,

we blessed our little baby kellen.

we decided that it would be best to do it before my mom left.

and thankfully, a lot of zac's family was able to come.

some of them drove a long way to join us.

thank you!!!

the blessing was beautiful

and zac did a great job!

and ruby's sister edith made a really cute tuxido for kellen.

after the blessing, we all got together at a park and had lunch!

that was a lot of fun.

he moves his toes a lot.

they are kinda cute...  i think...  maybe it's because i'm his mom...

kellen is starting to talk and smile a lot.

it is so fun to see him make different sounds.

i think he is enjoying it too.

he is also growing too!

1 month

it will be a month tomorrow since he's been born!

it's been so much fun to see him grow!

he is smiling a lot more and starting to demand more attention!

he will scream til he gets his way...

but he is cute.

he actually do not like the binky...

but when he finally gives in to take it, he likes to hold it himself...

our neighbors gave us this triangle thing that can hold a baby sideways

its pretty handy.

 

 

 

 

 

we had a get together at zac's dad's house last saturday

and this was kellen's first outing other than hospital visit.

he was very much loved by everyone there.

and it was my mom's first time going out there too!

she enjoyed seeing everyone

and also enjoyed riding!

she turned into a cow girl!

 

 

 

kellen had some visits from friends and family.

megan, her mom and lisa came to see kellen!

with grandma ruby and yoko ba-ba.

we also went out to grandpa richard and grandma helen's place.

 

 

 

 

 

i think his eye lashes are just like zac's

and they are longer than mine and it curls out!

not like mine at all.  yeay!
