In Japan, commercials have reappeared on TV. They were pulled right after the earthquake and tsunami because they seemed inappropriate. Advertisers are still being careful. And a new series of spots from the big beer company Suntory aims to lift people's spirits. The ads feature a lineup of famous Japanese actors and other celebrities. One by one, they take to the microphone in a simple black studio and sing a line from one of the country's most beloved melodies.

The lyrics are about a man keeping his head up while he walks so his tears won't fall. The song "Sukiyaki" was recorded back in 1961.
