是後。倭迹迹日百襲姫命爲大物主神之妻。然其神常晝不見而夜來矣。倭迹迹姫命語夫曰。君常晝不見者。分明不得視其尊顏。願暫留之。明旦仰欲覲美麗之威儀。大神對曰。言理灼然。吾明旦入汝櫛笥而居。願無驚吾形。爰倭迹迹姫命心裏密異之。待明以見櫛笥。遂有美麗小蛇。其長大如衣紐。則驚之叫啼。時大神有耻。忽化人形。謂其妻曰。汝不忍令羞吾。吾還令羞汝。仍踐大虚登于御諸山。爰倭迹迹姫命仰見而悔之急居。〈急居。此云菟岐于。〉則箸撞陰而薨。乃葬於大市。故時人號其墓。謂箸墓也。是墓者日也人作。夜也神作。故運大坂山石而造。則自山至于墓。人民相踵。以手遞傳而運焉。時人歌之曰。飫朋佐介珥。菟藝逎煩例屡。伊辭務邏■。手誤辭珥固佐縻。固辭介■務介茂。
冬十月乙卯朔。詔群臣曰。今返者悉伏誅。畿内無事。唯海外荒俗。騷動未止。其四道將軍等今急發之。
丙子。將軍等共發路。
十一年夏四月壬子朔己卯。四道將軍以平戎夷之状奏焉。
是歳。異俗多歸。國内安寧。
≪英訳≫
Afterwards, Yamato-totobi-momoso-hime-no-mikoto became the wife of the Oomononushi-no-Kami (Great Lord Deity). However, this deity would only appear at night and not during the day.
Yamato-totobi-momoso-hime-no-mikoto spoke to her husband, saying, “Since you never appear during the day, I cannot clearly see your honored face. Please stay for a while. Tomorrow morning, I look forward to seeing your beautiful appearance.” Oomononushi-no-Kami responded, “Your words are reasonable. Tomorrow morning, I will enter your comb box and stay there. I hope you won’t be alarmed by my form.”
Yamato-totobi-momoso-hime-no-mikoto felt uneasy about this. Waiting for morning to come, she looked into the comb box and found a truly beautiful small snake inside, as long and thick as a clothes string. Startled, she screamed. At that moment, Oomononushi-no-Kami, feeling ashamed, suddenly transformed into a human form.
He said to his wife, “You couldn’t endure not to embarrass me, so now I will embarrass you.” With that, he stepped on the vastness and ascended to the Miwayama Mountains. Yamato-totobi-momoso-hime-no-mikoto, looking up, regretted her actions and sat down in haste. At that moment, she accidentally struck her private parts with chopsticks and died. She was buried in a large market, and people of that time called her grave “Hashihaka,” meaning “Chopstick Grave.”
The grave was constructed by people during the day and by gods during the night. They transported stones from Mount Osaka and formed the grave. From the mountain to the grave, people lined up, passing stones hand to hand.
People of that time sang:
“To climb Mount Osaka, people are lined up, handing over many stones. Can we pass them without a problem?”
On the first day of October, a decree was given to the ministers: “Now, those who rebelled have all submitted. There are no issues within the capital region. However, disturbances by unruly outsiders persist. The four generals and others should depart immediately.”
On the 22nd day, the generals departed together.
In the summer of the eleventh year, on the 28th day of April, the four generals reported the state of pacifying the local enemies.
In that year, many people from different cultures migrated, and the country became peaceful.

その後、倭迹迹日百襲姫命（やまとととびももそひめのみこと）は大物主神（おおものぬしのかみ）の妻となりました。しかし、その神は昼間は現れず、夜だけ現れました。
倭迹迹日姫命（やまとととびももそひめのみこと）は夫に言いました。「昼間あなたが現れないので、そのお顔を見ることができません。どうか、しばらく留まってください。朝になれば美しいお姿を拝見できるでしょうから」大神（おおかみ）は答えて「言う通りだ。明日の朝、あなたの櫛箱に入っているだろう。私の姿に驚かないように願う」と言いました。
倭迹迹日姫命（やまとととびももそひめのみこと）は心の中で異変を感じました。朝を待って櫛箱を見ると、美しい小蛇（こおろち）が入っていました。その長さは衣紐ほどで、驚いて叫びました。すると大神は恥じ、急いで人の姿に変わりました。
そして「あなたが我慢できず、私に恥をかかせた。今度は私があなたに恥ずかしい思いをさせよう」と言い、大空を踏んで御諸山に登りました。倭迹迹日姫命は仰いで悔い、急いで座り込みました。その時、箸で陰部を突いて死んでしまいました。それで大市に葬りました。当時の人は、その墓を箸墓（はしはか）と呼びました。
その墓は昼は人が作り、夜は神が作りました。大坂山の石を運んで造りました。山から墓に至るまで、人々が手渡しで運びました。当時の人々は歌って言いました。
「大坂山に人々が並んで登って、沢山の石を手渡しして、渡して行けば渡せるだろうかなあ」
冬の十月一日、群臣に詔して「今、反逆した者たちは全て服従しました。畿内には何も問題がありません。ただし、畿外の未だ収束していない動乱があります。四道の将軍たち、急いで出陣せよ」と伝えられました。
十一年の夏、四月二十八日、四道の将軍たちは共に動き、戦功を報告しました。この年は異なる文化の人々が多く帰化し、国内は平穏となりました。
