(3)Lesson 2: Particles ね(ne) and よ(yo) (p.38)
The particle ね(ne) means "right?" or "isn"t it?".
Ex. それは たかいです 。(Sore wa takai desu ne.)=It's expensive, isn't it?

The particle よ(yo) is added to a statement if the speaker wants to assure the listener of what has been said.
Ex. たけしさんは にほんじん です 。(Takeshi san wa nihonjin desu yo.)=(In case you're wondering,) Takeshi is Japanese.

じゃあ(jaa)= then
そうですか。(Soudesu ka.)= I see.
~をください。(~ o kudasai.) = Please give me ~.

Today, we finished lesson 2.  Please review vocabulary, grammar, and expressions of Lesson2 well!!

Today was the last class of this semester.  I really appreciate for your hard work.  Good jobs, students!!!  I enjoyed teaching Japanese very much though I admit my English is not enough.  I will continue to teach for the summer semester. (3)Lesson 2: この, その, あの, and どの + noun  (p.35)
   While これ, それ, あれ, and どれmust always stand alone,
   この, その, あの, and どの must always be followed by a noun.

    - この とけいは いくらですか。(kono tokei wa ikura desuka.)= How much is this watch?  
    - [その とけいは] 3000えん です。([sono tokei wa] sanzen en desu.) = [That watch is] 3000 yen.

(4)Lesson 2: ここ, そこ, あそこ, and どこ (p.36)
    ここkoko)= here (near me)
    そこsoko)= there (near you)
    あそこasoko)= over there
    どこdoko)= where

    - ゆうびんきょく どこですか。(yuubinkyoku wa doko desu ka.) = Where is the post office?
    - [ゆうびんきょく は] あそこ です。([yuubinkyoku wa] asoko desu.) = [The post office is] over there.

(3)Lesson 2: noun (p.37)
    The particle "も(mo)" means "also," "too," or "as well."
    It is used in both affirmative and negative sentences.
[Example]
      わたし にほんじんです。(watashi wa nihonjin desu.) = I am a Japanese.
      あなた にほんじんです。(anata mo nihonjin desu.) = You are a Japanese, too.

(4)Lesson 2: (これは)だれの○○ですか。([kore wa] dareno ○○ desu ka.) (p.36)
[Example]
    - これ は だれの かさ ですか。(kore wa dareno kasa desu ka.) = Whose umbrella is this?
    - それ は わたしの かさ です。(sore wa watashi no kasa desu.) = That (in front of you) is my umbrella.

(2)Lesson 2: いくらですか。(Ikura desu ka.) = How much is it?
[Expression 1] 
    - これ は いくらですか。(kore wa ikura desu ka.) = How much is this?
    - 1000 えん です(sen en desu.) = It's 1000 yen.
    - ほん は いくらですか。(hon wa ikura desu ka.) = How much is the book?
    - 3000 えん です。(san zen en desu.) = It's 3000 yen.

[Expression 2]
    - たかいですね。(takai desune.) = It's expensive.
    - やすいですね。(yaui desune.) = It's cheap.

    - これ を ください。kore o kudasai.) = Please give me this./ I'll take this.
    - どうぞ。douzo.) = Here it is.

(3)Lesson 2: これ,それ, あれ, and どれ (p.34)
    - これ(kore) = this thing here (in front of the speaker)
    - それ(sore) = that thing in front of you (the listener)
    - あれ(are)  =  that one over there (that is neither close to the speaker nor the listener)
    - どれ(dore) =  which one?

[Example 1]
    - これ は なんですか。(kore wa nan desu ka.) = What is this?
    - それ は かさ です。(sore wa kasa desu.) = That (in front of you) is an umbrella.
[Example 2]
    - あれ は なんですか。(are wa nan desu ka.) = What is that (over there)?
    - あれ は えんぴつ です。(are wa enpitsu desu.) = That (over there) is a pencil.
[Example 2]
    - どれ ですか。(dore desu ka.) = Which one is it (that you are talking about)?
