Today my grandpa performed my baptism for me with all my family...twice.
The first time was for me, my Mommy & Daddy, brothers, Grandma, Great-Grandma,
and new God Mother Raynboe. Then we did it again at my Aunty Maureen & Uncle
Stanley's house. My Grandpa and God Mother read some stories from the bible
and Daddy read a special Hawaiian poem. Then, everyone sprinkled me with water
(the symbol of life), rubbed me with oil (for strength), and lit a candle
(to show me the light of God). Afterwards, we had dinner with everybody.
My brothers had a lot of fun playing
with Uncle Sean & Aunty Nichele, but I couldn't play because I was wearing my
pretty white dress. Thank you everyone - I was so happy to have you all welcome
me into the family.
今日はグランパが私の洗礼式をやってくれたの。実は２回ね。
一度目はグランマのおうちでマミー、ダディ、お兄ちゃん達、グランマ、グレイトグランマ
ゴッドマザーのレインボーとで。２回目は来られなかったアンティ・モリーンの為に彼女と
アンクル・スタンリーのおうちで。グランパとレインボーが聖書からお話を読んでくれて、
ダディがハワイの詩をよんでくれたの。その後で、みんなが私の頭に「命」の水を振りかけて、
「強さ」のオイルを胸につけて、「神様の灯」のキャンドルライトを見せてくれたの。
その後で、みんなでご飯食べたのよ。
お兄ちゃん達はアンクル・ショーンとアンティ・ニシェルとすっごい楽しそうに遊んでたわ。
でも、私は遊べなかったの。だって、と～ってもきれいで素敵な白いドレスを着てたからね。
みんな、どうもありがとう。家族の一員になれたこと本当にうれしく思います。
