[To those without housing and those who don’t want to stay at home over the new years]
The local governments are providing hotel stays for free!
Hi all, NPO POSSE here.
Municipalities of Tokyo and Saitama are preparing emergency shelters at business hotels or weekly rentals over the new years.
Anyone, who doesn’t have a safe place, can stay at no cost, regardless of existing debt, age, gender, nationality, or immigration status.
We will not let your family know either. If you don’t live in Tokyo or Saitama, you can still stay at these shelters.
If you need us to support getting to the local government, we can assist you with that as well.
From December 28th to 31st, we will be hosting an info booth for anyone who needs support navigating difficult situations. It will be at Kanezuka park, just outside of Omiya station Nishiguchi (West exit) from 10am to 3pm.
We will assess your needs and will accompany you to the municipality building so that you can stay at one of those emergency shelters. If you have any questions or need support navigating your situation, please come see us there. We will be handing out free food and other necessary supplies.

You deserve a safe and warm place to stay over the new years, so that you can start fresh in 2022.

Support offered:
Accompany you to the shelter by Tokyo or Saitama municipalities.
Ask me anything: you can ask any questions about your job, financial situation, family etc to our trained and experienced social workers.
