血液検査では白血球数が増加し、炎症反応CRPが上がります。
リンパ節では、リンパ液から損傷した細胞、がん細胞、異物がこし取られます。リンパ節内の特殊な白血球は、損傷した細胞、がん細胞、感染性微生物、異物などを飲み込んで破壊します。
痛み、圧痛、発赤をいずれも伴わないリンパ節の腫れは、 リンパ腫、 結核、 ホジキンリンパ腫など、別の重篤な病気の症状である可能性もあります。
