今回もフィリピンで起きたスーパー台風の報告です

"A big thank you to all who have donated to our fundraiser to assist Sensei Michael Mccavish and his community recover after Typhoon Odette/Rai in the Philippines. We are excited to be close to breaking £2,500 on GoFundMe.

As you can see, the first roofing materials are being distributed, although only a third of the wood ordered has arrived due to a shortage. However, there is corrugated iron and some nails to get the rebuild started.

We will share more updates as they come in but please continue to share our GoFundMe link with those you know who might be keen to help. There is a long way to go but we are so grateful for the support to date."

今日はお知らせとお願いになります
ご存知の方も多いと思いますが去年のクリスマス前のこと
フィリピンを襲った猛烈な勢いのスーパー台風「ライ」
Philippines- Super Typhoon Rai(Odette)

多くの人が被害を受けました
マイケルズ英会話スクール創設者のマイケルもその１人です
彼と家族そしてスタッフたちは命がけで避難し助かりました

捜索・救助活動が続くなか死者や行方不明者のほか
被災人口は約620万人以上（昨年12/30発表）と言われています
支援活動・物資が必要で各機関・団体が応援を呼びかけています

被害の状況を知り支援の輪が広がることを祈っています
以下ニリ先生からのメッセージです

Dear All,
As you know, towards the end of December, a few days before Christmas, a super typhoon ripped through the Philippines, killing hundreds of people and leaving a trail of destruction in its wake.
You also know that Michael and his family and staff barely escaped with their lives. It had already been a tough two years for the resort; despite the lack of customers and income, Michael had tried his best to keep his staff on the payroll. However, the typhoon has been too much to bear. I am worried about the Filipino families- a few of whom I know personally- who work at the resort. I am very keen for Michael to keep them employed, but I am not at all sure this time he can do that without help.

今日は「おせち料理のことを簡単に説明する」デス⭐

おせち料理は新年のためだけに用意される伝統的なお料理です
Osechi is the traditional meal only prepared for New Year.

昆布巻："Kobumaki" is salmon kombu roll.
We have Kobumaki to share happiness.

エビ：Shrimps
We have shrimps to pray for longevity.

黒豆："Kuromame" is sweet black soybeans.
We have Kuromame to encourage hard work.

紅白かまぼこ："Kouhaku-Kamaboko" is a fish paste/fish cake.
We have Kouhaku-Kamaboko is because its red color is to prevent evil spirits and white means purity.

栗きんとん："Kurikinton" is candied chestnut with sweet potatoes.
We have Kurikinton to raise money luck.

かずのこ："Kazunoko" is herring roe.
We have Kazunoko to pray for the prosperity of descendants.

伊達巻："Datemaki" is sweet rolled omelet/sweet egg rolls.
We have Datemaki to wish to improve knowledge.

煮しめ："Nishime" is boiled root vegetables.
We have Nishime to wish to have long lasting happiness.

ごまめ・田作り：Gomame/Tazukuri is candied dried sardines.
We have this to pray for the great harvest.
