Straight from the PIG's Mouth 2

ok, in chapter 2 of this book, our dear author moved from a constable in Timaru, to a CIB detective in Christchurch. the two cases recorded in this chapter, makes me feel a bit umcorfatable.

if i would use one word each to summarise the case, I would say love-hatred and respect.

case 1 -  kill you then myself

Jill and Gareth were partners. after living together for a while, Jill found out that she could no longer be in relationship with Gareth. so Jill moved out and became a flatmate with Tom, but there was nothing that happened between them. Gareth did not get out of this relationship as smooth as Jill did, and he suspected Tom was the person who broke their relationship. the more he thought, the crazier he  became. so he broke into the house where Tom and Jill were staying, while both of them were out at work, with a shotgun, planning to kill Tom and Jill to avenge. Tom was the first one coming home. Gareth tied him on a chair in his bedroom, and said that he would kill him together with Jill, after Jill arrived home. while Gareth was waiting at the main entrance door, Tom managed to free himself and escaped out to the neighbour's house and reported to the police. While the police were still on their way to the house, Jill came home. the police guarded the house and tried to speak to Gareth within, and they heard the sounds of two gun shots. when they broke into the house, they only found two dead bodies. obviously, Gareth killed Jill and then himself.

although some argue that couples should live together before getting into marriage, so that they can have a so-called "trial and error" period to consider whether they two are suitable for marriage. but I still think that is why we do not encourage at all that lovers stay together before they get married. there is no such thing according to the Scripture. the Bible tells us that marriage should be respected among the believers, and no devoice is allowed. this requires much fellowship, getting to know each other, and much prayer before the two parties make the decision to marry each other. Marriage should be a serious and once for the whole life matter. nowadays, peopel can easily marry, devoice, marry again, and devoice again, as easy as go to try different coffee shops. seems like they are in a cycle, repeating what happens all the time. It was not so from the beginning, when God created man. because of the evil work of the evil one, Satan, man has become more and more fallen and corrupted. we all need the Lord Jesus, the Savior. and we all need to be dilligent to preach the gospel, to proclaim the word of God. only the humanity of Jesus can help us and solve all our problems.

case 2 - respect the prostitutes, you will never know what will happen in the future

there were three prostitutes murdered in Christchurch. the author was going to petrol the Manchester St with his colleague. I quite appreciated the view of this author toward the prostitute. this is what the author writes in his book:

"Every girl has a story to tell and a reason why they turned to prostitution. some of these stories are horrific and some heart-wrenchingly sad....It was not my role to judge anyone, nor did I have the right to do so. Given this I always treated the girls with respect, courtesy and empathy. "

some people like to judge and despise with the arguement that they choose to be prostitutes, and they deserve that. NO! you do not have the right to say so. there is only One, who has the right to judge both the living and the dead. this is the Lord Jesus. "God so loved the world." who are you, who judges and despises others? who are you, who do not love the world, the people, whom God so loved?

I could not stop laughing when I came to the end of this case. the author was taking his partener out for a dinner and parked his car on Manchester St. and half a dozen of prostitutes would came to him and ask, "are you stopping for a chat tonight?" you can imagine how would his partner look like when she saw all of these. I wonder whether they two were still able to continue their relationship after this???? hahahahahahahahahahaha
