China Trip Day 15

Day 2 in Lijiang 

Went to Lijiang Old Town again in the morning

Tried this herbal milk tea

It is said that this one sold more than 200 million in one year 

Went to watch this 

A must-see show in life time 

丽江千古情

The ad says that

“ give me one day 

I will return you one thousand years”

The performance is really good very impressive 

Tried local chicken pot for dinner

And rose flower wine 

Quite sweet with a bit sour 

The locals say it is good for female haha

China Trip Day 14

Super bad headache when waking up in the morning 

I think the altitude sickness finally caught up on me 

Tried the medicine recommended by pharmacy and slept the whole morning 

Didn’t have a final view at Shangri-La

Got into car and arrived in Lijiang 

I think the sickness has gone 

Though not sure because of the effect of the medicine 

Or because Lijiang is only 2400m above sea level compared with Shangri-La around 3400m above sea 

Had the typical local 驴肉hot pot for dinner 

Heard it is good for body haha

Tried the home made peach flower wine

Dared not to touch any alcohol at Shanghai-La in case it would trigger altitude sickness 

Now should be fine 

Took a night walk in Lijiang Old City

3.5 hours drive from Meli to Shangri-La

I stayed next to Dukzong Old City 独克宗

China Trip Day 12

4 hours from Dali to Shangri-La 

Another 3.5 hours from Shangri-La to Meli Snow Mountain national park 

The long travel is worthy of the scenery 

Hope tomorrow morning I can get a nice sunrise 

Tried the local must-have 牦牛 hotpot with 青稞饼 and 酥油茶 

I tried sweet type local milk tea, heard it can help with altitude sickness
