I had the good fortune of seeing him in concert decades ago. I'm deeply saddened to hear that ERIC CARMEN has passed away yesterday. He was extremely talented. ERIC CARMEN"S music and memories will forever be with us. He will indeed be missed. RIP Eric Carmen.

Eric Carmen's use of visually stimulating lyrics (when I look in your eyes I go crazy, fever's high with the lights down low) unmatched use of instrumentation, foot tapping\head bobbing rhythm, the use of repetition and the fact that I was 10 years old when this came out make this one of my favorite love songs. How did it only reach #3 on billboards top hits in 1988...

There's so many pictures in this video of where I used to call home...the signs for Philly Int'l, 95 in Maryland and Delaware, the Schyullkill Expressway, the Vine Street Expressway, my native New Jersey Turnpike, the streets of Philadelphia....I've moved hundreds of miles away from the Delaware Valley and Mid-Atlantic, it brings a tear to my eye to see all these places again.
That sweet sound on the radio would be WMMR, WYSP, or maybe WXPN if you were feeling adventurous. WOGL if you wanted a trip back in time, or WMGK if you wanted to relive the 70s. Thanks for the flashback to my childhood.
Kudos on the picture choice from Jackson, South Carolina. Made me nostalgic and homesick.

This song was my escape at 10 years old. That’s how old I was when it was released. It may be called “Make me lose control”. It made me want more control over where my life was going. It was a great video for a pop masterpiece.

Takes me back to the year of 1988.I was 8 years old. Many memories including the sad memory of my late grandmother Elizabeth Nelson. I remember her breaking her knee, and me crying out my eyes because she was hurt. I loved her that much it hurt me to see her hurt. She was the only one who could calm my sad heart. I often ask now that she's dead, who will look after me now. The rest of my family except my cousin and uncle have no love in their hearts for me, not even my aunt jo who I grew up loving so sad this saddens my heart. This is a very underrated pop song from 1988 when I was in the 5th grade age 10 me and my brother and my girl neighbor and classmate were at the bus stop on our way to school talking about New kids On the Block and Guns'N Roses and Eazy E then we switch gears then we talked about Eric Carmen's Make me Loose control with that catchy hook :)

Eric Carmen's use of visually stimulating lyrics (when I look in your eyes I go crazy, fever's high with the lights down low) unmatched use of instrumentation, foot tapping\head bobbing rhythm, the use of repetition and the fact that I was 10 years old when this came out make this one of my favorite love songs. How did it only reach #3 on billboards top hits in 1988...

There's so many pictures in this video of where I used to call home...the signs for Philly Int'l, 95 in Maryland and Delaware, the Schyullkill Expressway, the Vine Street Expressway, my native New Jersey Turnpike, the streets of Philadelphia....I've moved hundreds of miles away from the Delaware Valley and Mid-Atlantic, it brings a tear to my eye to see all these places again.
That sweet sound on the radio would be WMMR, WYSP, or maybe WXPN if you were feeling adventurous. WOGL if you wanted a trip back in time, or WMGK if you wanted to relive the 70s. Thanks for the flashback to my childhood.
Kudos on the picture choice from Jackson, South Carolina. Made me nostalgic and homesick.

This song was my escape at 10 years old. That’s how old I was when it was released. It may be called “Make me lose control”. It made me want more control over where my life was going. It was a great video for a pop masterpiece.

Takes me back to the year of 1988.I was 8 years old. Many memories including the sad memory of my late grandmother Elizabeth Nelson. I remember her breaking her knee, and me crying out my eyes because she was hurt. I loved her that much it hurt me to see her hurt. She was the only one who could calm my sad heart. I often ask now that she's dead, who will look after me now. The rest of my family except my cousin and uncle have no love in their hearts for me, not even my aunt jo who I grew up loving so sad this saddens my heart. This is a very underrated pop song from 1988 when I was in the 5th grade age 10 me and my brother and my girl neighbor and classmate were at the bus stop on our way to school talking about New kids On the Block and Guns'N Roses and Eazy E then we switch gears then we talked about Eric Carmen's Make me Loose control with that catchy hook :)

remember some of the lines! This song was released after the movie hit Dirty Dancing. Im 46 and it still gives me back the same teenage feel! Songs of the 80’s are timeless!
