AC.QUEENの歴史

ミュージカルWe Will Rock You初回公演が終了して数ヵ月後の、2005年11月。

We Will Rock Youのギタリストとして、Brian MayやRoger Taylorから直接オーディションされ、シークレットライブを一緒に行ったこともあるギタリスト、Simon Croftがプライベートで来日した。

滞在期間中、いくつかのQUEENトリビュートバンドのライブを体験したSimonだが、その中でも「究極のQUEENトリビュートバンド」として活躍中のKWEENを気に入って、クラブチッタでのKWEENライブのアンコールに飛び入りし、QUEEN・KWEENファンを驚かせた。

その日の打ち上げで、馬が合ったのがKWEENのFreddie EtoとSimonである。一緒に何かできないか？という話は、その後まもなく「アコースティック（アンプラグド）でクイーンを演奏しよう」というアイデアになり、2006年初頭からアイデアの交換が行われ、春頃に準備が開始された。

そして、2006年6月。ついにライブが敢行され、2日間で200人強のオーディエンスを動員。アコースティックというシンプルな形で演奏することで、もともとの楽曲の良さが、かえって引き出されることになり、集まったクイーンファンを魅了した。
