【大雪山国立公園・旭岳情報】チングルマ花盛り！

今日は珍しく、麓の東川町などが大雨や雷で、姿見の池園地は曇りでした。

園地内ではチングルマの花畑があちらこちらにできています！

鏡池から裾合平方面に5～10分ほど行ったところ








チングルマのつぼみはまだたくさんあるので、しばらく楽しめそうです。
一面に咲くチングルマの花畑を見にぜひお越しください！


登山道・裾合平は帰ってきた方に伺うと、「あと一週間かな～」とのお話でしたが、
一部咲いているところもあるそうなので、ご自分の目で確かめに行ってみてください。

Let Us Explore Mountain Ash and Its Uses

It seems the Mountain Ash is the first flower we notice as we either hike up or take the ropeway but the Chingaruma, the Kibana Rhododendron seem to steal the show. So today we'll explore the ever present Rowan or better known as Mountain Ash. 

 

Mountain Ash aka Rowan = ウラジロナナカマド　

Sobus matsumurana (Makino) Koehne (ウラジロナナカマド)

Height: 1-2 meters

Sub-alpine elevation zone

Leaf margen is upper half serrated

Family: Roseacea

Rowans are unrelated to the true ash trees of the genus Fraxinus, family Oleaceae.

Back to Mountain Ash aka Rowan

"Rowan is used as a food plant by the larvae of some Lepidoptera species." -Wikipedia

" Typical white rowan flowers are followed in autumn by heavy crops of bright red berries which persist into winter. Serrated ash-like leaves turn yellow in autumn, contrasting well with the berries. Good for pollinators and birds."

【大雪山国立公園・旭岳青少年野営場 情報】宣伝活動

本日より、スケッチブックをトイレ棟の共用スペースの一角に置きました。

観察できた植物や野鳥（絵もOK!）、登山の際にあると便利なもの、管理人へのクレーム等、なんでも御自由にお書きください。

 

正午に確認してみると、アメリカとポーランドからお越しのお客様が記入してくれていました！
なんて書いてあるか詳しいことはわからないですが、クレームではないことは確かです。嬉しい限りです。

宿泊のお客様だけではなく、日帰り利用のお客様もぜひ読んだり、書いたりしていって下さい。
