何か知らんが、オーストラリアの国会がイスラエルに対する BDS運動（Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions）の是非で紛糾したらしい・・・。

しかし、オーストラリア緑の党（以下 NSW Greens）は、イスラエルに対する BDS運動に関するスタンスが滅茶苦茶なんだよな。
つーのも、去年12月の時点では BDS 運動を党として支持すると表明したのに今年になってこれを撤回してるんだよな。
結果として、党内部がこれで分断される格好になったのだが・・・。

『ユダヤ系の人が運営してる製品のボイコット』云々ってのは、オーストラリアで Max Brenner（イスラエルに拠点を置く Strauss という企業の傘下）が BDS 運動のターゲットとなっている企業の1つになってることを指しているのよね。
でも、イスラエルに対する BDS 運動ってユダヤ系の企業だけが対象じゃないんだよな。
つか、『イスラエルを支援してる企業』が BDS 運動の対象なのだが。

要は、オーストラリアの国会における BDS 運動の議論は、これの意味についてろくに理解されてない状況で行われてるってこと。
それとも、この議論をした人達の中では、「イスラエル＝ユダヤ国家」という図式ができ上がってるのだろうか？
謎だらけである。
にしても。
イスラエルに対する BDS 運動について議論が行われるだけ、オーストラリアの国会は「マシ」かもしれん。
それに引きかえ、日本の国会は国会議事堂に姿を見せた天皇を撮影したしないで揉める体たらく・・・。
そもそも、日本の国会議員の方々の中で、イスラエルに対する BDS 運動について知ってる人がどれだけいるのか、という疑問もあるけど・・・。
