XV - Manfred/DK1BT, Wolf/DL4WK, Andy/DL5CW, Sigi/DL7DF and Frank/DL7UFR
will be active as XV4D from Phu Quoc (AS-128), Vietnam on 4-17
November. They will operate on 160-10 metres with two stations for
CW and SSB, and a third station for RTTY, PSK31 and SSTV. Bernd,

CE0Y - Announced frequencies for the 31 October-15 November XR0Y
DXpedition to Easter Island [425DXN 957] are as follows:
CW 1826, 3505, 7005, 10120, 14005, 18073, 21005, 24893, 28023
RTTY 3580, 7034, 14091, 18102, 21083, 24923, 28085
SSB 1843, 3725, 7075, 14200, 18140, 21295, 24935, 28480
There are three QSL routes.
[1] Stan, SQ8X will handle cards for Europe, Asia, Africa and Oceania (direct and bureau).

[2] The Radio
Club de Chile will handle cards for North, Central and South America (direct and bureau).

[3] An Online QSL Request System (OQRS) will be activated on the expedition's website when XR0Y gets on the air. In addition, the XR0Y logs will be uploaded to LoTW and eQSL sometime in 2010.

Having operated from over 140 DXCC entities, Mike DF8AN is on his travels again. From 31 Oct to 16 Nov, he will be active from the Galapagos Islands and Bonaire.

After a period of radio inactivity, Chris ZS6RI (ex-ZS8IR, ZD9IR, 5H9IR) is now active as EL8RI

At this stage, Chris is using only a small QRP rig on 40, 30 and 20m with dipoles and other wire antennas for the next month or two. A larger rig will be used thereafter.

Initially, Chris will be working six weeks in Liberia – then three weeks at home in South Africa – then EL8RI for the forseeable future.

Harald, DL7VSN is back touring in Tanzania. He will be QRV probably from the 1st November from the Kilimanjaro area. The callsign should again be 5H1HS.

Harald operates 160m-10m with various dipoles and 100 watts, mainly in CW and RTTY. If flight / boat plans go well, he will try activate another island in Tanzania group for one or two days. From November 18, Harald will be in the Serengeti and Tarangire National Park – he hopes to be QRV from there.

The TX3A Chesterfield DXpedition is under way!
The last of our equipment has arrived at 1200 noon and we got going immediately. Our first stop is Frederick Reef, about 250 nautical miles (490 km) to the north-east and about half way to Chesterfield. We expect to arrive at Frederick Reef tomorrow late afternoon. The weather is fair with 15 knot winds. Waves are 1.5 to 2 meters. Conditions are forecast to worsen tomorrow, but we are not expecting any major difficulties.

The TX3A license has been extended. We will be able to use the TX3A callsign from November 02 until December 06.

Niko, S53A has announced he’ll be QRV from Zambia between November 25 – 30 again using the callsign 9J3A.

Equipment will include: 80m vertical, 40m 2 ele wire delta loop, 20-10m spider beam. Also QRV for CQWW CW.
