As you know, the history of NIKE could be said in other word; the history of "waffle." In 1975, Nike started to sell new Waffle Trainer.
This is the advertizement in 1974 for the 1st type waffle traimer. It said "The Waffle Trainer combines several of Nike's outstanding features."
Obori's upper, full length midsole, super light weight, and waffle sole.
The first collor of 2nd type was red-white. The front one of the pic is it.
But mine is diffrent collor. It contains blue nylon and white swoosh. Especially, it has 'red' logo on its heel.
Red, blue and white...what do you imagine? Yes. The olympic is. The color of team USA.
Unfortunately, it contains box but the box doesn't have the stamp of 'OLYMPIC.'
I think it is because the shoes were made in Japan. If they were made in Exeter, they might have the stamp on its box.
The ART No. is ED10835A. This is kind a special No. given to this special WT.
Thinking from the price tag on its box, they were sold in general department store. I don't know the amount of them, I guess not so many.
In this summer or next summer, I am going to Oregon to call on my American mom. Then, I will go to Nike to make sure the truth.
special thanx
