Seisen-ryo 清泉寮

Jack and I take a walk at least twice a day.  We go various places and here is one of many places we like a lot to go.  It is called Seisen-ryo, 清里 清泉寮 in Japanese, located in Kiyosato, Yamanashi.  It is a bit too crowded in summer time but, I will tell you what, it is superrrrrr...b in winters!  The air is fresh and crisp,  few people walk or drive so it feels like I am owning it!

 

  

Especially we like walking along Nature Observation Foot-pass.  Look at the picture above.  It is Jack skipping in the  field where the foot-pass starts. Yamane Museum is far right.

Jack likes checking out what is going on under every gap.

He also can't help sniffing around and check what has walked before him.

You will come out of the pass and see the wide spread pasture!  Mt.Fuji will welcome you!

his best friend

Hi, how are you?

I am going to post about my dog and one of his friends today.

 

My dog, Jack has some dog friends. One of the best friends is named Bianco, Jack Russell Terrier.  It sounds interesting Jack's best friend is 'Jack' Russell, doesn't it?  

 

He used to be our neighbor and their friendship started when they were 3 - 5 months old.  Bi, the short name for Bianco, moved out with his owners about a year ago.  Now Bianco lives around 30-minute away from our house. Poor, Jack and Bi,  they can meet each other much less often than before!  

 

Dogs cannot simply categorize as 'DOG.'  They are so unique respectively. You could sort out its character by breeds and maybe pedigrees. However, just like human beings, dogs have their own character by nature.  

For instance, 

Jack is a Shiba based mixed dog.  He has black and tan coat. He is quite careful, a little bit timid, not so friendly to strangers but not as unfriendly as Shiba. 

Bi is pure Jack Russel Terrier. He has rough coat and you could find his character by his breed.  He is hyper energetic, friendly, cheerful and playful.  Just like other Jack Russels.

 

They are still young and so lively so I never imagined that their lives could be taken away easily.  No,  never until I got an email from H-san, Bi's owner a couple of months ago.  According to her email, Bi was seriously ill and the worst case could happen ...  Fortunately, H-san's dedication and his vet's worked out, Bi is fully recovered now!  Phew...  What a relief... I was so worried if Jack might lose his best friend...  Thank God,  I mean thank GOD!! 

 

Jack is sitting beside me right now.  Looking at me with his innocent eyes. Yawning, Sleeping.  He is so sweet that I could eat him!  So comforting.  I just thank Jack for being here as my friend and a member of my family.  

dogs looking for foster family

My Jack was a foster puppy. I met him at a humane society of Yamanashi when he was 3 months old. There were about 10 puppies at the time. I wanted a black boy. Jack is the only one that met my requests. Wow, time flies! It has been 11 months since I adopted him. June 20 will be the 1st anniversary!

The 7th day: Jack outing for the first time in his life.


Last March



Before I met Jack, I wanted a Border Collie. I have browsed this web site called BORDER COLLIE RESCUE NETWORK（ボーダーコリーレスキューネットワーク） ever since, even after I got Jack.
Border Collies are an active energetic sheep dog, the smartest breed of all canine kind. I heard quite many people get a border collie without knowing the nature. They are getting tired and then give up on their dog... That's a tragedy..

I also check this blog. The blogger is volunteering to take care of orphan dogs with lots and lots of love. The pictures on this blog always flash me with huge smiles of dogs! They make me smile too.

People who are considering to get a dog, please check out those unwanted dogs first. Pedigree dogs are OK, but actually blood or shape or appearance don't matter once you start to have one. The more you love it, the cuter and more adorable your dog can be.

Did I ever mention here in this blog that Jack has his goodie dog friends?

He has four of his best friends.
Sakura, bernese mountain dog and Taro, miniature dachshund live in front of us. Leo, labrador retriever and Bianco, Jack Russell terrier live over pane woods, 100 m away from our place. Leo is quite middle aged dog. 11 years old. the other three were born last December. Jack followed them and was born this past March.

It is so good for Jack to have friends!
