２月２１日 シンプソンは引き続きスポンサーとして NHRA（National Hot Rod Association)を支えていくことを考えています。
今シーズンも始まり、シンプソンは現在ライトウェイトのレーシングスーツやネックサポーター等に力を入れる為DuPont, HANS Performance、John Force Racingと合同研究に励んでいるとの事です。
新しくライトウェイトのレーシングスーツを作るのに一番の難題はこのウェイト軽減でアメリカの規制を通るか否かという事です。しかし、合同研究が順調に進んでいけば間違いなくドラッグレースの中では注目の的になると思います。
