summary: The 3rd session of Lesson 10.
(1) Superlative sentence: 「Something/Someoneがいちばん~です」
(2) 「赤(あか)いをください」(= Give me the red one.) Cf. 「赤いセーターをください」
[adjective+の] is used to avoid repetition: 「の」here substitutes the noun when it is obvious/clear to everyone in the conversation what you are referring to.
(3) 「そのかばんは私(わたし)です」Cf.「そのかばんは私のかばんです」
[noun+の] is also used to avoid repetition in the same way as the 「adjective +の」.
(4)「~するつもりです」

Next week I am planning to finish the lesson 9, and if we have time left at the end, I would like to do a little review test. If we don't have time next week, then the test will be on the week after. In either case, please review what you have learned and master the vocabulary. If you come up with any questions while you are reviewing, please write them down so that you can ask me in the class.

A もう宿題をしましたか。  Have you already done your homework?
B はい、しました。     Yes, I have.
C いいえ、まだしていません。No, I haven't yet.

D 昨日、宿題をしましたか。 Did you do your homework yesterday? 
E はい、しました。    Yes, I did.
F いいえ、しませんでした。 No, I didn't.

* Note that you use the same form in B and E (affirmative "present perfect" and affirmative "simple past"), but you use different forms in C and F (negative "present perfect" and negative "simple past").

Summary: Lesson 9 (#6): 「~と言(い)っていました」(= using short forms in quote sentences) and 「~ている人(ひと)」(= 「~ている」is the short form of 「て+います」to describe someone's activity or the result of a change (Cf. Lesson 7 pp. 136-137). This form is used to qualify a noun.)

(1) Q & A between students and the teacher about what we did last weekend, and quoting it to other people

I was very glad to see many old faces (and new ones, too!) today. I am looking forward to having yet another good, interesting classes with all of you this semester again!
