the Seven Eyes of the Lamb

in order to receive the sevenfold intensified Spirit in every way and every aspect, we must also be intensified.

the tabernacle is just a type. in this type, the golden lampstand is in the Holy Place, near the throne of grace but not right before the throne of grace. in the book of Revelation, it mentions that the seven lamps burning before the throne. in Revelation, it talks about signs. as a sign, the book talks about the throne of God. if we try to exact the type to the reality, we will always find the type being short, because we are trying to define the divine mystery.

the seven lamps of burning fire, not only judge and enlighten, but also carry out the administration of God on the throne. the lamps are related to God's administration, God's move. this is not much related to our personal experience. but without the shining, the enlightening, the revelation of the lamps in our spirit, we cannot know God's throne, God's administration. as the New Testament priests, we need to light the lamps, which is our responsibility.

I. after the seven lamps of fire burn in us, they become the seven eyes.
Ephesians 1:18 The eyes of your heart having been enlightened, that you may know what is the hope of His calling, and what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints,
once we are enlightened, we realise that this is not just light, not just lamps. these lamps are the eyes of a person, the eyes of the redeeming Lamb. this is Christ Himself looking at us, watching and observing us. sometimes, we may feel the eyes are scary, that we do not want to be watched. but we need to remember, that the Lord is not watching over us to judge us, but to shephered and care for us.

II. as the redeeming Lamb, Christ has seven watching and observing eyes for the carrying out of God's administration.
Revelation 1:14 And His head and hair were as white as white wool, as snow; and His eyes were like a flame of fire;
Christ in Revelation 1 is not the same Christ revealed in the four gospels. here the eyes of Christ are like a flame of fire. when we meet the eyes, the first thing that happens is that we are enlightened by the eyes. but also we realise tha these eyes are the eyes of our merciful and loving great High Priest, who is watching us. both of the seven lamps and seven eyes are the experiences of the seven Spirits. the eyes are not only for watching and observing, but also for transfusing and infusing. the eyes are also the expression of the person. when we see the person, we are actually seeing their eyes. John here in Revelation emphasizes the eyes of Christ.

III. the seven eyes are for transfusing all that the Lamb is into our being so that we may become the same as He is for God's building
the eyes are transfuing all that the Lamb is into our being, to make us the same as He is, which is for God's building.

Zechariah 3:9 For here is the stone that I have set before Joshua — upon one stone are seven eyes. I will engrave its engraving, declares Jehovah of hosts, and I will remove the iniquity of that land in one day.
Zechariah 4:9 The hands of Zerubbabel have laid the foundation of this house, and his hands will finish it; and you will know that Jehovah of hosts has sent Me to you.
Zechariah 4:10 For who has despised the day of small things? For these seven rejoice when they see the plummet in the hand of Zerubbabel; they are the eyes of Jehovah running to and fro on the whole earth.
we should desire to be overcomers, to overcome the degradation of the church. but to overcome is not the final goal. the goal is God's building.

the way for us to be transformed is to come to Him and be seen by Him. whenever we come to spend time in the presence of the Lord, we not only come to see the Lord, but also to be seen by the Lord. it is in and through this mutual seeing, the Lord infuses and transfuses Himself into us.

2 Corinthians 3:15 Indeed unto this day, whenever Moses is read, a veil lies on their heart;
2 Corinthians 3:16 But whenever their heart turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away.
when Paul mentions about the veil on the heart of the Jews, the content was concerning the reading of the Bible. this should also be a reminder to us. when we come to read the word of God, are we also having such a veil? if we still have the veil on our hearts, we will not see the Lord, and the Lord also cannot see us. we need to turn our heart to the Lord, so that the veil can be taken away, and we can behold and reflect the Lord, the result of which is transformation.

IV. God guides us with His eyes
2 Chronicles 16: 9 the eyes of Jehovah run to and fro throughout all the earth to strengthen those whose heart is perfect toward Him. You have acted foolishly in this matter; hence from this time on you will have wars.
2 Corinthians 2:10 But whom you forgive anything, I also forgive; for also what I have forgiven, if I have forgiven anything, it is for your sake in the person of Christ;
the "person of Christ" literally means the "eyes of Christ". Paul was living in such an intimate fellowship with the Lord. whatever Paul was doing, was totally according to the eyes of Christ. we also should live an "eye to eye" Christian life with the Lord.
