フランク・ザッパのザ・マザーズ・オブ・インヴェンションとの活動に終止符を打ち、'75年に独立。'77年エピック移籍２作目にあたるジョージ・デューク（ discography ）の "リーチ・フォー・イット" ーーー。
後にプロジェクトを組むスタンリー・クラーク（ discography / filmography ）他、お馴染みのレオン・"ンドゥク"・チャンクラー、バイロン・ミラー（ "Dream On" ）やマイケル・センベロ（ discography ）らも参加。
33歳の彼のキャリアを大きく変え、その名を世に知らしめた記念すべき一枚。
ちょっと "サンタナ" を思わせる、ホットでスリリングな一曲。
Ｇ・デュークの甘いファルセット＆美メロをじっくり楽しむ一曲。
コレ、Ｇ・デュークの力量が発揮された、地味に好きな一曲。
Ｓ・クラークらしいベースが渋い 8. Watch Out Baby! がなくてものすごく残念！（悲）
長い間 "外盤" しかなかった本作が、約30年を経てようやくデジタル・リマスタリングで「日本初ＣＤ化」となり、またまた私のライブラリーには同じＣＤが "２枚" 並んでいます（笑）。
