予想できない発表が楽しい、送るものと受け取るものの根元的歓びがしっかりあり、それが揺らぐことがない。 １０日ほど前に、Oracle/POOL OF DREAMS/ RVC 09026-68796-2を入手して、一回聴いたきりっどうってことないので放うっておいた。 先日ふと感じることがあってもう一度聴いてみたら、ちょっと引っかかるものがあった（芽生え息づいていた）。 『……ン、……？！』 なん度か聴くうちに面白くなってきた。 こういう出会いはたいてい長く続く場合が多いので嬉しくなる。

Haden（B）のベースは屈託なく揚々とした精気溢れる。 You Must Believe In Spring And Love（5:58）、大きく腕を伸ばしゆっくり行く手を示科のような、全身で悠々と歌うヴォーカルはのびのびして気分良し。 I Got Thunder (And It Rings) 1（5:49）、やや速いリズミックな曲、McLean（As）は速い分散メロディーを鮮やかに披露。 How High The Moon（7:33）、ゆっくりした味わい深い曲、次第に弾むようなリズム部門、McLean（As）は余裕たっぷりに楽しそうにプレイ。 When Love Was You And Me（5:46）、ゆっくり朗々と歌い上げるゆっくりした曲。 Hi Fly（6:33）、弾むような進行、C. Terry（flgh）の低音でのゆったりしたソロ、C. Haden（B）のソロ、Jackie McLean（As）の溌剌とした目覚ましい展開、器楽のようなザクザク切り刻むヴォーカルに驚く。 Live For Life（4:49）、演説・詩の朗読風な贅肉をそぎ落としたヴォーカル、後半はたゆたうメロディーで終わる。 A. Lincoln（Vo）、B. Higgins（Ds）、J.
