まぁ、ハワードとツルむのは楽しいんだけど。到着したその日からずーっと、日本の社会はハワードにとって混乱することばかり。
CGスタジオでハワードに最初に出会った日から、いつかは彼の冒険物語をアニメーションにしようとずっと思っていたけど、じゃあカメラを回すから同じ間違いをもう一回やってみて、と言ったってできるはずがないし、そんなことをリクエストしたらいくらハワードだって怒りだすに違いないし。そもそも、決定的瞬間を捉えるためにずーっとハワードにくっついてカメラを構えてはいられません。
そこで！ ３Dでハワードのデジタルコピーをを作ることにしました！
（そうそう、ハリウッドのスターが映画で危険なシーンにスタント代わりに使ってる、あれです）
まず、平面上でハワードの正面と側面の絵を描きます。
これが、私のコンピュータ上の３D空間の中で参考のイメージになります。
絵を描くってったって、簡単ではありません。。。なにしろハワードはカタツムリなので、体の形がいつもクネクネ動いていて、１５秒と持ちません。一応絵をアップロードしときます。。これができる限りがんばった描いた絵、ってことで。。。

Hi,
Sure... It's quite fun to hang around with Howard. Japanese society is so confusing to him that he makes all kind of mistakes since his arrival in Tokyo.
From the first day, I've met Howard at my CG studios, I thought on making short animated films to tell his adventures.
But, I'm not always with him and I can't really ask him to replay his mistakes in front of the camera, just for the purpose of making us laugh... He would get upset about it, I think.
And also, I can't be with him all the time and record each moment of his life with a video camera...
To solve this problem, I decided to make a 3D digital copy of him!
(Yes, like those famous Hollywood stars who have a digital double to play their parts during dangerous action sequences.)
I made 2D drawings of him from the front and the side.
Those drawings will be used as reference to model him in 3D inside my computer.
It was not that easy to make those drawings... Howard is a snail, so his body kept changing shape all the time, and he could stay still for at least 15 seconds... I'm uploading the drawing, that's the best I could do...
