On September 16, we were invited to serve the Lord in an evangelical Japanese church in the South Bay area, called YASURAGI Christ Church. During the 3 pm service, Shoko Fuchino sang her original songs, “You Alone are Worthy” and “In the Shining Light” as a special songs in the holy presence of the Lord.
I delivered a message from the Book of Isaiah 55:8-9. The theme was “There is God’s plan for each one of us”. In the sermon, I also shared about my mother's life and the wonderful things that God did in her life. My mother, Kumiko Sasaki, who passed away at 83 years old last November, was a testament of God's goodness. My mother’s song, “God is Merciful” was chosen for a new Japanese-gospel song book “Yasuragi 12” which will be published next month. She wrote the words and Shoko composed the song for her. It is amazing that after my mother went to the Heaven, her song was chosen to be published and will be sung in many palaces and used for evangelism! God’s name is Wonder! You will never know what great things God will do in your life.

It was a memorable service and we enjoyed the fellowship time as well.
