年に一度の樋口鳳香の個展『墨美神®︎展』
今年も春の開催となりました。
会場は銀座画廊 美の起原にて、期間は3/8から3/14です。
さらに充実した、多くの方の記憶に引っかかる個展にしたいと思っています。
多くの方にご高覧いただけたら幸いと存じます。
Hoca Higuchi's annual solo exhibition "SUMIBISHIN®︎ Exhibition"
It was held in spring again this year.
The venue is Ginza Gallery The Origin of Art, and the period is from March 8th to March 14th.
I would appreciate it if many people could see it.
余談ですが、個展の副題『Waters of March』は、
アントニオカルロスジョビンの曲名でもあります。
ポエティックな歌詞をエリス・レジーナとご機嫌にデュエットしている心地よいボサノヴァの曲です♫
日本で『3月の水』と聞くと、「雪解け水」と「春の到来」を連想しますが、
ジョビンの故郷ブラジルは南半球になるので、雨季の始まりを表現しているそうです。
As an aside, the subtitle of Sumishin®︎ Exhibition, "Waters of March" is the title of a song by Antonio Carlos Jobim.
A pleasant bossa nova song with poetic lyrics duet with Ellis Regina ♫
In Japan, when we hear "waters of March”, we associate "snowmelt water" or "arrival of spring".
Jobim's hometown Brazil is in the southern hemisphere, so it seems that it expresses the beginning of the rainy season.
さて、その『水』。
水は水墨画に欠かせません。
煤と膠を混ぜて固めた墨を、硯に水を入れ、墨を摺って液体にします。
しっかりと濃墨に摺った墨を、たっぷり水を含ませた筆先につけ、水と馴染ませてから和紙に描いていきます。
水が多ければ、紙の繊維が透けるほどやわらかで美しい墨色＝薄墨が表現できます。
水墨画は日本の風土が生んだ技術です。
やわらかな墨色は、やわらかな日本の水（軟水）があってこそ表現できるからです。
Now that "WATER".
Water is essential for Sumi-ink painting.
Sumi-Ink is made by mixing soot and animal glue and hardening.
After soaking the brush tip in water and adding Sumi-ink to it, the ink is drawn on Washi paper or Silk.
If there is a lot of water, it is possible to express a soft and beautiful Sumi-ink color that is so soft that the fibers of the paper can be seen through.
Ink painting is a technique born from the climate of Japan.
This is because the soft Sumi-ink colors can be expressed only with soft Japanese water.
『墨に五彩あり』という言葉があります。
これは墨色の濃淡の中に、観る人の心模様が映し出されたり、
その時の心の有り様によって、いろいろな色に変化するということです。

In Japan, There is a saying, “Sumi has five colors”.
This reflects the heart of the viewer in the shading of the Sumi-ink,
Depending on the state of mind at that time, it changes to various colors.
