Nutrigenomics is the study of molecular relationships between nutrition and the response of genes, with the aim of understanding how such subtle changes can affect human health:

Actigenomics SA is a biotechnology company that develops, produces and commercializes a new generation of natural nutritionally active ingredients with health benefits aimed at the functional food industry and the nutraceutical markets.

The company has developed four Active Nutrigenomic Ingredients that are almost ready for market entry:

+ Lipistase™ that reduces LDL cholesterol (“bad cholesterol”) and triglyceride levels

+ Immunitum™ that reinforces the immune system

+ Sleep Repair™ that restores sound sleep

+ Dynosteon™ that restores bone mass and density

The basic ingredients are all natural, taken separately, are EFSA- and FDA-compliant, and have been approved for human consumption. Their beneficial effects have already been proven in preclinical studies, open human clinical trials, and for some of them double blind studies.

Actigenomics SA, founded June 2011, based in Epalinges (Lausanne), Switzerland consolidates nutrient combinations developed in medical practice and characterized by research performed by the company in cooperation with the University of Lausanne and its Center for Integrative Genomics, one of the leading European centers for genomic research.
