The Wind Returns!!!

皆さん

Finally風が戻りました。。。。意味は？　生きている気持ち　本当にひさしぶりなのでごめんなさい　今日からいろいろ頑張ります　今年今まで本当に大変だったのでも老人になったと思っていた　でもだんだんでよくなりました。　

それでKaniに対して今日からスタート

今年はトライアスロンでどうしようと本当によく考えました！　やっぱりいい場所が大切なポイント。。。それでいい友達と一緒。。。ところで。。。

６月２２日: 徳之島トライアスロン大会 - Swim(2.0km); Bike (81.0km);Run (21.0km)
Reason: 出たことがない。。。（英語でI have never done this race before; レースを出ないとトレーニングをしない(英語でIf I don't enter a race, I will not train)；　いい友達も出ます(英語でA good friend will enter)[Mr. Wです]

８月3日　チームケンズカップトライアスロン駅伝 in 沼津千本浜
Reason:　一緒に出るトライアスロン友達が多い（英語でA lot of my triathlon friends will do the race together); キャンプみたい(英語でJust like going camping)

９月7日　佐渡国際トライアスロン大会 - Swim (3.8km) Bike (190km) Run (42.2km)
Reason: 場所が本当にきれい（英語でThe location is truly beautiful）；　何でも美味しい(英語でEverything is delicious)；　レース後最高Party(英語でGreat after-race party)

それでトレーニングも頑張ります　二週間前にトレーニングが始まったから徳之島試合は本当に難しいそうです。。。。もしかして最後参加者かもしれない　HAHA

My dryer is in the same room as my washing machine.

My refrigerator has two doors and cost 十万円。

I store frozen vegetables and ice cream in my freezer.

電子レンジ - Microwave Oven (MicrowaveだけOKです)
Microwave ovens are so useful (便利)

浴室 - Bathroom
My apartment has two bathrooms (冗談です)

本日話: For me, the most important part of my apartment is the kitchen. Because I love to cook, a spacious kitchen with a large refrigerator and a big oven are very important. Every kitchen needs many things including a microwave, a hand-mixer, a rolling pin, and a steamer.

Hawaii - Land of Aloha

昨日ハワイに来ました　何で急にハワイへ行った？　Basically, I really needed the chance to relax, refresh, and revitalize

ハワイにいるから。。。今週は英語ばっかりね！　頑張って下さい

For some reason,a lot of people I know always want to go to Hawaii I always wonder why -- when I ask, usually they answer the "beautiful weather" or the "beautiful beaches"

Whenever I tell my friends I am going to Hawaii, everyone says "ii ne", which generally reflects a little bit of jealousy...but then again, most people not from Hawaii just see it as a place with great weather, beautiful beaches.

When I ask myself the same question, weather usually isn't very high on my list, and definitely not the beaches.

Hawaii is a very special place. Coming home to Hawaii has a meaning that is often difficult to understand. My parents are here. My dog is here. It is so very important to visit your family

Then there is your extended family - your friends,the people of Hawaii. You often here about it -- the Hawaii ohana.

I visited one of the greatest and most important football game in the history of the University of Hawaii today. There were over 50,000 people sitting outside for hours in advance enjoying what can only be called the largest BBQ I have ever been too.

Everything from ribs, steamed roast beef, snow crab, teriyaki chicken, poke, lobster, noodles -- you name it -- the most incredible BBQ.

The difference is that although 50,000 did not come together and for the most part did not know each other, they all came for the SAME reason. To cheer for a school, not a professional team, not a club team - a SCHOOL that maybe they never went to, maybe where someone they knew went, maybe where they had a cousin go.

In Hawaii -- it never makes a difference. I have been to countless sporting events both amateur and professional: baseball, volleyball, tennis, soccer, softball, lacrosse, ice hockey, basketball, swimming, triathlon,marathon,field hockey, cycling, rugby, sumo - and much, much more.

And get this straight -- I am dying fan of certain professional sports, I pray and pray when my team is playing. I feel emotion that is hard to describe,almost feeling that the result will determine my life for the longest of times.

But on a night like tonight, you feel all that emotion that ties a person from Hawaii to Hawaii. You look to your right, your left, people you don't know -- but you know they are all feeling the same thing. Pride - pride for being from a tiny island in the middle of the largest ocean in the world.

The closest thing to that feeling I have felt is at the World Cup, the largest and most watched sporting event on the entire planet -- playing in a foreign land and cheering a team that represents the country you belong to. Pride

But this is why Hawaii is different. Coming from a place that you know is special and for reasons that are hard to explain to anyone. It is more than the special relationships you have with others, more than the courtesy people you don't know show you, more than saying hi to your neighbors everytime you see them, more than the pristine weather, more than the food, more than knowing that your friends will always be there when you need them.

Pride in our state, pride in our people. You feel that this team does not represent just a school - it represents the entire State of Hawaii -- it represents the people of Hawaii. It really does feel like the entire state is energized by one team - that the result really makes a difference to the million people that live here.

And so you ask, WHAT HAPPENED?

Let's just say that when Hawaii wakes up tomorrow, one of the main articles on the first page of the NEWSPAPER is not going to be about politics, business, economics, or anything similar.

The fact that the main story in the biggest newspaper is going to be about the score of a college sports team.....that shows you how much this team means to the people of Hawaii.

リニューアルのために。。。火曜日に久しぶりでTuna Tofu Pattiesを作ります。　Tofu Tuna Pattiesは日本語で多分ツナ豆腐ハンバーグ　美味しくてHealthy

でも残念ながらKaniの体は今週。。。ちょっとダメです。。。お腹が大変痛かった。。。あんまり食べなかった。。。逆にちょっと痩せたね

本当に毎日ブログを書きたいけど。。。Motivation（動機)(どうき）がないね　頑張っているけど。。。。

運動も。。。。

遊びも。。。。

でも頑張ります。。。。Sooner or Later。。。。Motivation（動機）が見つけますね

Boston Red Sox - 2007 World Series Champions!!!!!

昨日は最高だった　ボストンレッドソックス優勝

2004年で８６年ぶり優勝して三年後も一回World Series Champions　信じられないです！　やっぱり昨日遊びすぎました

この間にちょっと書いていたけど最近二ヶ月は本当に最低だった　何でも悪かったと思っていた。。。。

やっぱりこのところに。。。頑張らないともっと大変になるね

でも今日から。。。スパーレベルアップします　

二ヶ月でスイムは一回。。。ランは三回。。。バイクは一回

その二ヶ月で基本的に毎日に食べすぎ。。。。飲みすぎ。。。　７ｋｇぐらい太って来ました

。。。。

でもこれからね！　今年は初めて夏休み。。。秋休み。。。多分冬休みが無し　ちょっと辛いけど頑張ります。。。出来ればどこでミニ休みするかな

Boston Elmo!!!!

Hello! 本当にひさしぶりだね It really has been a long time

すみませんしか言えないです。　九月頭から最近まで本当に何でも大変だったです。。。ちょっと頑張ったけど人生の力が少しおちました　仕事（ストレスは信じられないだった。。。辞める気分があった）。。。プライベートのことも（二回にすごくだめにされた。。。それを説明したら。。。信じられないと思います）。。。すごく大変になっていろいろなことが出来なくなりました　

それで毎日大変から毎日食べすぎ飲みすぎ。。。それで遊びすぎかな　体的に良くなかったです　本当にファットマスターが戻りました

最近一週間はいろいろなことが元気になったから。。。もう一回頑張ろうと思っていました。　日曜日に日本トライアスロン選手権を見に行った。。。いろいろないい友達を久しぶり会った。。。いろいろないい思えがあった

今日もKaniBrainが好きにボストンレッドソックスはリーグ優勝した　昨日本当に楽しかった。。。本日写真はボストンレッドソックスのエルモくん

まあ。。。とらいあえず。。。今日から頑張ります今朝に久しぶりにランしました　ちょっと問題があるけど

。。。。

まあ。。。最近二ヶ月に全部悪くなかった。。。一つの本当にいいことがあった。。。でもこれから。。。良くなる。。。か悪くなる。。。まだ分からないです

Gakushuin Lacrosse!!!

A New Fan

先週末にGakushuin University(学習院大学)女性Lacrosse(ラクロス)試合を見に行きました　Last weekend, I went to see a women's lacrosse match between Gakushuin Universit and Toyo University 日本で始めて見ました。　ラクロスは元アメリカのスポーツと言えます。日本で人気になっているけど。。。面白いFact - アメリカのFastest Growing Sport

In the United States:
大学男性チーム：　２１９チーム
大学女性チーム：　２７４チーム
大学クラブチーム：　２００チーム

プロリーグが二つ：　Major League Lacrosse, National Lacrosse League

Kaniブレーン女性大学チームは：Boston University Women's Lacrosse

Anyway - back to the Gakushuin Game!!! Definitely had a great time -- wonderful experience ハイライトは？　What were the highlights?

(1) ハワイ人似ている選手が多い - This was the biggest shock - it was like being back at home again
(2) Amazing comeback by Gakushuin from 2 down with only 1 minute to play - 5-5 tie Amazing!
(3) [英語だよ]List of favorite players from the game (試合の一番好きな選手):
#28 - Central DF - A total defensive ROCK - plays with no fear (and no eye protection for that matter) - made a critical run down the line in the waning minutes to set up the 4th goal
#39 - MF - This player was the ultimate field general! Enuf said Gets the award for the most likely to pass off as local Hawaiian
#2 - MF - Came to the BBQ and remembered me! Points for that alone - Fast,speedy, could cut on a dime (この英語が難しいね)。Also tallied points for the home team! Oh most important - Kani was also No. 2 for the bulk of his career.
#1 - MF - Super points because of the game tying goal with 3 seconds left in regulation. More points because this is from whom I received my ticket本当にありがとうございました！

OKAY -　佐渡国際トライアスロン。。。いよいよ。。。Right around the corner 後五日間。。。Only 5 more days!

最後トレーニング「Last Training」：　今週はレースWeekだからトレーニングが基本的にダウンだね！　それで右手首のケガで。。。トレーニングは本当に痛いです。。。

土曜日：　インターバルバイクトレーニング
日曜日：　バイク100km (手首のテスト)　－　最初40ｋｍぐらいに大丈夫だった。。。でもだんだんで手首とかたも腕も。。。痛くなりました。　夜でちょっと飲んだから痛いかどうか分からなくなりました
月曜日：　起きて。。。右手首は本当にブー！　プールへ行って300-400mしか泳げなかった。。。It was just too painful - like pulling teeth
火曜日：　１０ｋｍラン、それでロングスローSwim (Final Test)...どのぐらいがまん出来るのため。。。３．４ｋｍまで泳いだ。。。１．５ｋｍから大変すぎました。。。プールを出て右手首はThrobbing Pain....今日は薬をたくさん飲んだ。。。本当にBad Ideaだった

Sunset!!!

Hello! 昨日ハワイにいると思っていた。。。本日写真を見て下さい　What an incredible sunset (日暮れ)

(2) Sunset Boulevard Hugh Grant（ヒュー・グラント）がよくしている道

最近本当にボロボロですーいろいろなことで

佐渡国際トライアスロンは後One Week The BIG problem....右手首はまだすごく痛いです。　本当に月曜日より痛い。。。それはびっくりしていないけどね。。。火曜日、水曜日、昨日も少しトレーニングした

水曜日。。。ちょっとバイク（何でちょっと。。。because it was so sore -- like pulling out teet）; ちょっとスイム。。。夜Speedラン練習

木曜日。。。朝起きて手首はVery痛かったから練習中止。　夜に軽い筋肉トレーニング。。。手首リハビリ

金曜日朝。。。１４キロラン。。。Slow ペース

I think I am pretty much in trouble for the race....

Surviveが出来るかな。。。

BIG BIG Problem!!!!!

A very interesting Japanese word is ピンチ　

でも意味は?　Katakanaだから"pinch"かな。。。

和英辞書を調べと。。。。基本的に意味が一つ。。。"a tough situation"

でも英和辞書。。。。本当にso many possibilities....

たとえば（For Example）

(1) pinch my belly fat - 腹の脂肪を切り詰める

(2) 野球だったらpinch hitter - ピンチヒッター、代打

(3) pinch an ear (子供時代と酔っ払い時にたまにする)　
耳をつねる

(4)　pinch a nerve - 神経を圧迫する

Anyway -- Kaniブレーン is in a 大ピンチ！

けがをしています。。。今Removableギブスをつけています。。。There is a removable cast on my right arm...

でも何で？　土曜日にバイクでマイナーCrashをした。。。すごくゆっくりから問題がないと思っていた。。。土曜日夜に晩御飯を食べている中に右手首（英語でwrist）は急に痛くなった。。。それでSundayバイク中もどんどんで痛くなった。。。日曜日夜にバイクで右手が使えなくなりました

月曜日に何でも痛かった。。。Eating...Reaching for my wallet...Opening soda...kaniブレーンは右手（英語でright-handed）だよ

それで病院へ行って医者さんを相談（英語でconsult）をした

GOOD NEWS: 骨折が無し。。。no broken bone

BAD NEWS: 右手首の靭帯（英語でligament）と腱（英語でtendon）は大分Over-stretchedかマイナーTear

それで医者さんのアドバイスは：You shouldn't do anything right now. とりあえず何もしないほうがいいです。

でも2 weeks from nowレースがあると言いました。。。返事は。。。mmmmmm(grunting)　－－－　やっぱりKaniはばかじゃないの音だね
けがは悪くなるはずね。。。

トレーニングをしたいから1/2ハードギブスを作って貰った。。。トレーニングしたいなら取れることが出来ます　if I want to train, I can take it off...多分普通ケースだったらハードギブスだね

今朝スイムテストだった。。。。。。。

CHO痛くなった　すごく頑張ったけどやっぱり痛めはだんだんで悪くなってプール後にThrobbing Painだった　一番心配ことは。。。バイク。。。I am most worried about the bike...

バイクは一番辛いと思っています。　右手の力が入れない。。。Climbing....どうだろうね。。。

Cram Time!!!!

How was your weekend? あなたの週末はどうだった？

A great word I learned is 学習塾? In "romaji", that word is gakushuujuku. 英語で"Cram School". In shortened form, it is known as "juku" ハワイには学習塾がないけど。。。nearly everybody crams

高校は。。。大学も。。。KaniブレーンはよくCramしました。　日本語で試験のためにがり勉する。 For example, (大学時代)　金曜日に大切な試験があれば何回も木曜日にAll-Night(寝ないで)勉強しました。　それで金曜日試験を受けてすぐ寝ました。。。

Why am I thinking about "Cramming" right now? 何でこの”Cram"の話？。。。。基本的に一緒じゃないけど"Mentally"でスポーツのためにがり勉すると思うね。。。。

佐渡国際トライアスロン大会は9月2日です。。。。後二週間。。。In two weeks. 3.8km Swim, 190km Bike, 42.1km Run

それで四週間か三週間前によく頑張ったほうがいいと思うから最近練習頑張りました。。。What is the biggest problem?　一番大きい問題は？

トレーニングが足りない。。。。not enough trainingと言います。　でもMentallyで出来るだけ頑張ったほうがいいね。。。

先週末最後ロングトレーニング：
Saturday: 五時間半ロングライド(5 1/2 hour long ride). The weather was great -- nice and cool 帰り中でコンビにで7-Up買いました。。。美味しかった。。。懐かしい味だった（本日写真）。　それで２ｋｍスイム。　それで３０分ヨガ（Yoga）....初ヨガ！　楽しかったーーー先生も優しかったからね
Sunday: WestyグループとバイクをOifutoで...多分80kmぐらい。。。すぐ後に１３ｋｍぐらいラン。。。それでMassage

Strange Highlights:

(1) I am totally hooked on the TV Drama Prison Break. I cannot stop watching it. Day after day...すごいね。。。。
