まずは、

 

基本の”May I help you?”から！



すると次のような質問を聞かれるます。



How can I get to ～？

 

（～にどうやっていけますか？）

 

Could you tell me to get to ～？

 

(～に行く方法を教えてください)



道順を教えるのは、日本人相手でも難しい場合があります。

 

でも、外国人相手でもキーになる表現を覚えていれば大丈夫です。



・go straight～（～を、まっすぐ）

 

・go along～（～に沿って）

 

・turn right～（～を右に曲がって）

 

・turn left～（～を左に曲がって）

 

・go past～（～を通りすぎて）

 

さらに、分かりにくい時は、

 

Shall I go with you?

 

(一緒に行きましょうか？)

 

と、案内しちゃったほうが手っ取り早いことも。



あなたが渋谷駅のハチ公前にいて、

 

渋谷109に行くのを尋ねられた例をご紹介しましょう。



Here is the Shibuya intersection. Turn to the left and go along the street.

この質問への受け答え例として、山の手線ならば、

 

Take the Yamanote Line going toward Tokyo station.

 

(山の手線で東京駅に向かってください)

 

と、相手のガイドブックを指差しながら伝えるのが良い



乗り換えが必要な場合

 

First, take this Ginza Line toward Asakusa station and get off at Akasakamitsuke station. At Akasakamitsuke station, transfer to the Marunouchi Line. From there, take the Marunouchi Line going toward Ikebukuro station and get off at Tokyo station.

 

（まず、銀座線で浅草方面に乗り、赤坂見附駅で降ります。赤坂見附駅で丸の内線の池袋方面に乗り換えます。そして東京駅で降ります）



所要時間を聞かれる場合はこうです。
