The British Embassy in Tokyo website says (quote),Due to an appointment booking
system error which has disadvantaged many Tier 5 Youth Mobility Scheme
applicants, all existing appointments for lodging Tier 5 YMS applications have
been cancelled and the opening date for acceptance of Tier 5 YMS applications has
been re-set to 12 noon, Monday 10th January 2011 (local Japanese time).
All applicants must make a new appointment via the VFS website to lodge their
visa application. In line with the available Tier 5 YMS quota, a limited number
of appointment slots will be made available. Once these are filled the Tier 5 YMS
route will be closed for 2011. For further information on the Tier 5 Youth

It says the opening date for the applications will be 12 noon of January 10th
Japan time. But the Japanese version of the website says it will be 午後12
時（means 12 P.M.?). In Japan, noon is called 正午 or 午前12時 I think.
午後12時 means midnight. Confusing. I hope it won't disturb anyone.
英国大使館ウェブサイトにワーキングビザ申請の不具合に関するおわびがのっていた（新聞で見かけたのであるが）。以下はその内容である。午後12時に受付を再開とある。昼の12時のことらしい。ちょっと変だと思った。表記法に違いがあるようである。また混乱がないといいと思った。
2011年分のTier 5 の予約が全てキャンセルされ、2011年1月10日（月）に受付が再開されます
予約システムの不具合により、Tier 5 Youth Mobility Scheme （YMS） の申請を行った数多くの申請者の方々にご迷惑をおかけしたため、これまでに受け付けたTier 5 YMS の申請に関する全ての予約がキャンセルされました。
Tier 5 YMS の申請は、2011年1月10日（月）の午後12時（日本時間）に受付を再開します。ビザの申請者は全員、VFSのウェブサイトで、新規に予約する必要があります。設定されたTier 5 YMSの発給数枠に従って、定められた予約枠が利用可能となります。予約がその数に達した時点で、2011年分のTier 5 YMS 申請受付が終了します。
