Although a restaurant's food is usually what you remember after a delicious evening out, it's the less subtle — or in some cases bold — details that round out your dining experience. Were the chairs comfortable? Did you like the art on the walls? Was the music too loud? Was the restaurant's design completely disconnected from the food on your plate?
The subtle and organic dining room at chef David Bull's 58-seat Congress evolved to let the exquisite food and carefully selected wine menu take center stage.
The restaurant's simple, elegant design is based on the collective history of many restaurants, says Scott Walker, the restaurant's vice president of operations. Because of the time Bull spent there as the executive chef, Congress draws upon the Driskill Grill's unique history. For example, at the Driskill, the banquets were the most requested seating. We are professional led panel light,Bicycle light manufacturers and factory in China. On the white walls hangs art from local Austin artists such as Elizabeth Lopez, who is also a bartender at the restaurant. Another artist, Sean Camp, Walker discovered on the East Austin Studio Tour.Wholesale cheap led bulb light lamp at everyday low prices.
People appreciate that the restaurant's design is understated, but that there is detail, says Walker. Patrons notice the undulations in the wood frames around the mirrors that line the dining room, the slightly darker racer stripe down the pack of the cream linen dining chairs, or the chandelier strung its creator Amber Lewis. We are professional led flexible strip, led strip, led tube manufacturer and factory.
The restaurant's private dining room, with its very own wine cellar, has a wall of split Mexican bricks laid out in a diagonal fashion, cork floors (which recently replaced the original seagrass carpet) and a long, heavy table made from a reclaimed oak from a lake that seats 12.
For an unexpected touch, a recording of the The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupery being read in French plays in the women's restroom and in German in the men's.
When East Side Show Room came onto the Austin restaurant scene just under three years ago, its design was frequently described as straight out of a Tim Burton movie. That was no mistake.
"I love Tim Burton," says East Side Show Room owner Mickie Spencer, who also drew inspiration from the cafes, music halls, cabarets of pre-War Eastern Europe for her restaurant on East Sixth Street.
East Side Show Room's building was built in 1908. Spencer combined two spaces to form the restaurant, removed the plaster on the walls to expose the original brick and combined raw,High quality Led light from leading manufacturer and supplier in China. industrial elements with ornate details, such as chandeliers, to create a feel of something once grand that has begun to crumble.
Spencer, who is a metal work artist, made the restaurant's metal couch, lighting system reminiscent of an old factory's gas lights, and tables. In fact, almost anything that is metal Spencer designed and created — much of the metal work showcased at East Side Showroom was inspired by the time she spent living in Barcelona where Art Noveau architecture is plentiful.A range of LED bulb which give a saving of over 50% when compared to standard fluorescent tubes.
I attended a candle light vigil in Tower Grove Park for the teen killed in Florida,Lighting Science is the world's leading manufacturers of energy efficient Solar garden lighting ... Products include LED bulbs. Trayvon Martin. Upon my arrival the clouds opened and rained on the parade of folk coming from all directions to join in what was slated to be spiritual gathering. It was one of those unique moments in time watching the throngs of young folk, especially the young African Americans embracing the moment, absorbing the messages, participating respectfully.
But after walking through the mudded fields and standing for hours in the drenching rain and sheepishly contemplating when the program would eventually end, the solace was broken.
A speaker began talking about our President in a demeaning way, criticizing the President's comment, "If I had a son, he'd look like Trayvon," claiming that the President's one-liner was not enough and the President should be during more.
"I can only imagine what these parents are going through," President Obama said. "And I think every parent in America should be able to understand why it is absolutely imperative that we investigate every aspect of this, and that everybody pulls together — federal, state and local — to figure out exactly how this tragedy happened."
The President also made it clear that he did not want to step on the legal process started by his appointee Attorney General Eric H. Holder Jr.
Al Sharpton responded to the President's remarks with, "It really brings home to people that this kid is not some potential thug in a hoodie." And Florida state Sen. Arthenia Joyner, chair of the state's legislative black caucus, said the President sent a clear message. "I'm old enough to remember the Ku Klux Klan marching through the street," Joyner said. "My perception of this man, who is our President, is that he gets it at every level."
What upset me most about the speaker at Tower Grove Park was that the audience had a significant number of African-American young folk whom a lot of us are trying to engage in the political process with the hopes of re-electing the first African-American President. Instead of bashing the President we all need to be rallying behind his agenda, and especially his proposed budget.GA Lighting are a Leading UK Retailer and Wholesaler of led bulbs Hunza Lights.

The President's proposed Pathways Back to Work Fund will provide states with support for summer job programs for low-income youth in 2012, and year-round employment for economically disadvantaged young adults and youth who are experiencing a rate of unemployment of over 40 percent.
I would have told the crowd to support the President's efforts to increase the $120 million he spent last year to revitalize distressed urban neighborhoods. The President's 2013 Budget provides $150 million for the Choice Neighborhoods Initiative to continue transformative investments in high-poverty neighborhoods where distressed HUD-assisted public and privately owned housing is located.
The Viper design project was a juicy piece of red meat to Trostle's designers, who set up a secret room they called "Area 51" to collect ideas for the new-generation sports car. "We started to push the shape and change the form vocabulary,Ecoled are manufacturers and suppliers of well designed, quality T5 tube products and LED lighting systems for home, hotel." Trostle recalls, "but eventually we started to say, ‘we don't want to reinvent it.' It's an iconic vehicle like the Porsche 911 or the Jeep Wrangler. The proportion is iconic." Trostle views the side gills, especially, as being a signature Viper design, yet his designers sought to re-think the gill's form. They kept returning to the "beautiful shapes of the 1996 coupe" for inspiration, Trostle says.
That adherence to the past aside, all of the body panels, and even the badge, named "Stryker" by the Viper Club of America, are newly designed. Gilles promises that "every scoop, duct, and gill is functional." The forward-hinged hood, the roof, and the deck lid are made of carbon fiber, while the doors, rocker panels, and lower section of the front quarter-panels are aluminum.
Some body panels are made of molded plastic. The more elongated roofline's double-bubble design allows a bit more interior headroom for a helmeted driver and passenger. The rear window is narrower and longer than before and is more cleanly integrated into the body. The doors open with an electronic-solenoid-switch touch pad like the ones in the Chevrolet Corvette and the Cadillac CTS. You still have to cross a fairly wide sill to enter or exit the car, but the sills are nicely finished and the side-vent exhaust pipes are ringed in aluminum bezels. The last Viper was infamous for scorching the ankles and shins of unwary drivers, and Gilles promises somewhat less heat buildup in the sills but admits that "it will still be hot."
The Viper's lighting has entered the modern era, with dual-function, bi-xenon headlamps accented by LED daytime running lights and LED turn signals that are meant to evoke a snake's eye. The projector headlamps themselves are 70 mm, or 2.8 inches, in diameter and are ringed in silver, the only bright work in the Viper's face.LEDtronics is a pioneer in the design and manufacture of LEDs, led light bulbs, lamps, Indicators and lighting products for many applications markets like ... Headlamp bezels are matte-black for the Viper and metallic graphic for the Viper GTS.Frosted garden lighting are available in white and warm white. The "snakeskin" texture in the LED tail lamps' lenses apes similar surface textures in the gills and hood.
The standard Viper model gets a body-colored rear applique, while the upmarket Viper GTS gets a gloss black panel or an optional carbon-fiber trim package that is admirable in its tasteful restraint. (A supplier in Detroit manufactures all of the Viper's carbon fiber pieces.)
The stock five-spoke, forged-aluminum wheels, called "Rattler," are available fully polished, painted black, or painted low-gloss black. The Viper GTS gets a more refined, polished, six-spoke "Venom" design with graphite pockets as standard, with either glossy black or low-gloss black as options. The wheels themselves are now 18 inches by 10.5 inches in front, representing a half-inch increase in width, and 19 inches by 13 inches in the rear.
Individuals, companies and government organisations will be counting down the hours today in preparation for turning off their lights at 8.30 pm tonight (Saturday) as Oman joins nations around the world in participating in the global "Earth Hour."
Two of Muscat's most iconic and recognisable buildings — the Grand Mosque and the Royal Opera House Muscat — will be leading the way as institutions across the country switch off all but their most essential power for one hour.
Other leading organisations that will be turning off the lights include Omantel's headquarters, all non-essential lights at Oman Air offices, Oman LNG, Sultan Qaboos University, the BankMuscat headquarters building, Lulu Hypermarket and the Al Nahda Resort at Barka.
This is only the second year that the Sultanate has participated in Earth Hour but organisers, the Environment Society of Oman (ESO), has been overwhelmed by the enthusiastic response from corporate organisations,The money had been in an account to pay for outdoor lighting heating system. The ESO says that over 120 corporate organisations and schools have committed their support to the Sultanate's participation in the 'Earth Hour' event that starts at 8.30 pm.
This will be the second time Oman has participated in Earth Hour, following the successful campaign led by ESO in 2011 when an estimated 20,000 kilowatts of electricity was saved — or enough to supply 250 houses for a whole day or the whole district of Al Khuwair in Muscat for one hour.
This year they hope to save over 50,000 kilowatts of power and use the event as a platform to educate people in Oman about ways they can be smarter in saving electricity and water every day.
ESO General Manager Bassma Rasasi said: "We are encouraging everyone across Oman to play their part tonight. Keep lights at home to a minimum or why not light some candles for the hour to show your support. You will be amazed at the difference we can all make in the Sultanate just by taking a small action that when achieved collectively across the nation can save a huge amount of electricity. This event serves as a symbol of what can be achieved when we all work together towards saving the environment".
Earth Hour was first launched in Sydney in 2007 when 2.2 million residents turned off non essential lights and, now driven by the World Wildlife Fund for Nature (WWF), the event has been taken up by countries all over the world.Green Supply 10W General Household Solar garden lighting offers light quality comparable to that of traditional general incandescent 60W light bulb.LED lamps are made that replace screw-in incandescent or compact fluorescent LED candles.

The city council of San Antonio, Texas, recently approved the replacement of 25,000 existing streetlights with energy efficient LED streetlight fixtures. The city's streetlights are owned and operated by municipal utility, CPS Energy.
The project implementation time is expected to be about eighteen months and will be focused on the city's central business district and major thoroughfares. An exclusive contract for the supply of the LED streetlights was awarded to local San Antonio-based GreenStar.
"We tested GreenStar LED fixtures in a pilot, and based on the results, selected their fixtures for our upcoming installation," said Marion Gee, assistant finance director for public utilities for the city of San Antonio.Wickes Bicycle light can increase your home security and add atmosphere to your garden. Initial plans include replacing about 1,500 existing high pressure sodium (HPS) streetlights in the city's central business district. The remaining 23,500 LED fixtures will be installed on major roadways. Existing HPS fixtures targeted for replacement are 250 watts and 400 watts.
"We are considering a bond issue to pay for part of the project, which will be paid back through energy savings," said Gee. Energy and maintenance savings are expected to be about $17.LED lamps are made that replace screw-in incandescent or compact fluorescent LED candles.3 million over a fifteen year life cycle, according to Gee. The payback period is calculated at approximately twelve years.
"CPS Energy is preparing a new rate tariff to reflect the reduced energy consumption of LED streetlights and we expect it to be in place by this summer," said Christine Patmon, spokesperson for CPS Energy. Existing streetlights are currently billed at a flat rate. Installation of the LED streetlight fixtures is expected to begin in May or June 2012.
PLANS to dim street lights or switch them off overnight will be scrutinised by councillors.

Members of the council's overview and scrutiny performance board agreed councillors should go ahead with a scrutiny of the issue.
The council is responsible for 52,000 street lights and 8,000 illuminated road signs but energy costs are rising and the lights account for 21 per cent of the council's CO2 emissions.Hanlux LED bulb is made of high brightness SMD.
Councillor Ken Pollack said there were multiple aspects to be investigated including how energy companies charged for bills and how much the council was asking people for their opinions on the switch-off as well as the options under discussion.
He said any decision should be taken based on the needs of individual communities.
He said: "I live in a village where we don't want street lights.
"There are other people used to street lights who will need to be conviced they will be safe if they are switched off."
