今読んでいる本は　Japan 1941: Countdown to Infamy, で作者は　Eri Hotta氏　（2013年出版）

90年代は本屋に日本の本が溢れていたけど
今は探さないと見つからない
てか　探しても見つからない（結果的に　間違っていた、と証明されてしまったものが多いらしい）
だから　Arex Kerrと　Karel van Wolferenの本は今でも読まれているから　正しかったと証明されたのだろう

今　日本に関して見つかる本の大半は
第二次世界大戦に関するものですね

歴史物のセクションは　”第二次世界大戦”が中心で
ナチス関係の本が特に充実していて　毎年新しい考察本が出ている
並行して読んでいる本は　The Nazi and the Psychiatrist
これはナチス将校と刑務所で交流した精神科医の事が書かれた本

ナチスを理解しようとする本は山ほどあり
一方的にナチスの悪を批判したものばかりでは無く
人間が皆陥る”罠”に　を理解しようという姿勢が強く見られる

同じ罠に陥らないようにする為にも
こういった本は重要だ
最近　戦前を彷彿されつつある日本
過去を正しく振り返る事はより重要になってきている



「自分の人生に影響を与えた本」は
だから　Dogs and Demons, The Fall of Modern Japan　ですね
