外に出た。3週振りに近くのカラオケ居酒屋。ここはいいや、とてもいいよ。日本語て分かりにくい、いいやは嫌って聞こえそう。明日は神武様10時出発。また見に行こう。

加島 祥造、1990年より長野県伊那谷に独居する。伊那谷の心象風景や自然を描き、老子の言葉や自らの詩などを画賛に添えた墨彩画により、現代の文人画の世界をつくっている。特に文人画において重要視される詩については、伊那谷へ移住後、活発な創作を行なっている。東京の下町でももっとも繁忙な地域、神田の大家族の商家に育ち、晩年に至って、自分の心の故郷と知った伊那谷の自然の中に独居をした。壮年期はアメリカの文学に深くかかわったが、やがて、漢詩から東洋の思想にたどり着いた。このプロセスにより、西洋と東洋の双方を見渡す位置に立つ。文学という「文章」の中心だった仕事に、壮年期以降、絵が加わるようになる。詩人としてスタートをし、アメリカ文学者として学究の世界に身を置いていたのが、思想として老子を見出したことで、自身の思想とライフスタイルを一致させる方向へと向かうことになる。そしてこれら四つの振幅を貫くものとして、老子を見出し、その思想をタオイストとして体現化するため、現在は自然の中に身を置いて暮らしている。一貫した思想を詩、書、画で表現する現代の文人といえる。

身近なコンピューター生活用品にいっぱい、僕子供だった時人が一つ一つ調節して道具を使っていた、今、パンも、食事も道具も何でもちょっと行けば手に入る

Jesus Sends Out the Seventy-Two

After this the Lord appointed seventy-two others and sent them two by two ahead of him to every town and place [ where he was about { to go } ]. He told them, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, [ to send out workers into his harvest field ]. Go! I am sending you out like lambs among wolves. Do not take a purse or bag or sandals; and do not greet anyone on the road.

“[ When you enter a house ], first say, ‘Peace to this house.’ [ If someone { who promotes peace } is there ], your peace will rest on them; [ if not ], it will return to you. Stay there, [ eating and drinking { whatever they give you } ], for the worker deserves his wages. Do not move around from house to house.

“[ When you enter a town and are welcomed ], eat [ what is offered to you ]. Heal the sick [ who are there ] and tell them, ‘The kingdom of God has come near to you.’ But [ when you enter a town and are not welcomed ], go into its streets and say, ‘Even the dust of your town we wipe from our feet as a [ warning ] to you. Yet be sure of this: The kingdom of God has come near.’ I tell you, it will be more bearable on that day for Sodom [ than (it will be bearable) for that town ].

“Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! For [ if the miracles { that were performed in you } had been performed in Tyre and Sidon ], they would have repented long ago, [ sitting in sackcloth and ashes ]. But it will be more bearable for Tyre and Sidon at the judgment [ than (it will be bearable) for you ]. And you, Capernaum, will you be lifted to the heavens? No, you will go down to Hades.

“[ Whoever listens to you ] listens to me; [ whoever rejects you ] rejects me; but [ whoever rejects me ] rejects him [ who sent me ].”

The seventy-two returned with joy and said, “Lord, even the demons submit to us in your name.”

 

 

 

 

18 He replied, “I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven. 19 I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you. 20 However, do not rejoice that the spirits submit to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven.”

21 At that time Jesus, full of joy through the Holy Spirit, said, “I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and learned, and revealed them to little children. Yes, Father, for this is what you were pleased to do.

22 “All things have been committed to me by my Father. No one knows who the Son is except the Father, and no one knows who the Father is except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal him.”

23 Then he turned to his disciples and said privately, “Blessed are the eyes that see what you see. 24 For I tell you that many prophets and kings wanted to see what you see but did not see it, and to hear what you hear but did not hear it.”

The Parable of the Good Samaritan

25 On one occasion an expert in the law stood up to test Jesus. “Teacher,” he asked, “what must I do to inherit eternal life?”

26 “What is written in the Law?” he replied. “How do you read it?”

27 He answered, “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind’[c]; and, ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’[d]

28 “You have answered correctly,” Jesus replied. “Do this and you will live.”

29 But he wanted to justify himself, so he asked Jesus, “And who is my neighbor?”

30 In reply Jesus said: “A man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho, when he was attacked by robbers. They stripped him of his clothes, beat him and went away, leaving him half dead. 31 A priest happened to be going down the same road, and when he saw the man, he passed by on the other side. 32 So too, a Levite, when he came to the place and saw him, passed by on the other side. 33 But a Samaritan, as he traveled, came where the man was; and when he saw him, he took pity on him. 34 He went to him and bandaged his wounds, pouring on oil and wine. Then he put the man on his own donkey, brought him to an inn and took care of him. 35 The next day he took out two denarii[e] and gave them to the innkeeper. ‘Look after him,’ he said, ‘and when I return, I will reimburse you for any extra expense you may have.’

36 “Which of these three do you think was a neighbor to the man who fell into the hands of robbers?”

37 The expert in the law replied, “The one who had mercy on him.”

Jesus told him, “Go and do likewise.”

At the Home of Martha and Mary

38 As Jesus and his disciples were on their way, he came to a village where a woman named Martha opened her home to him. 39 She had a sister called Mary, who sat at the Lord’s feet listening to what he said. 40 But Martha was distracted by all the preparations that had to be made. She came to him and asked, “Lord, don’t you care that my sister has left me to do the work by myself? Tell her to help me!”

41 “Martha, Martha,” the Lord answered, “you are worried and upset about many things, 42 but few things are needed—or indeed only one.[f] Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her.”


農業の心、農夫の心

きょうの潮流

口先だけで、うまく相手をあしらう「舌先三寸」。矛盾したことや、うそをつく「二枚舌」―。舌は、話し方だけでなく、話の中身や人格まで表すときによく使われます▼大詰めをむかえている、バリ島でのTPP(環太平洋連携協定)交渉。秘密裏にすすめる安倍政権や自民党のいうことは、まさに「舌の根の乾かぬうち」。

日本の行く末がかかっているのに、発言がころころと変わります

▼2日のTPP反対集会でのこと。自民党の石破幹事長は、農産物の重要5品目について「必ず守る」と断言しました。

その数日後。現地入りした同じ自民党のTPP対策委員長は5品目の関税交渉について、「抜けるか抜けないかの検討はしないといけない」▼絶対に守るといいながら、一方で関税をなくすことを検討するという。これでは国民をだます二枚舌です。

裏切られた農業関係者はあきれ果て、顔に怒りをにじませました。食やくらしを守るなら、交渉から外れればいい▼それにしても支持率の高さをかさにきた、政権・与党のおごりたかぶりは目に余ります。

たとえば、安倍首相。「私を右翼の軍国主義者と呼びたいなら、どうぞ呼んで」「原発の安全技術でこれからも世界に貢献していく」▼国民や世界との溝を深めていく言動の連発。その一つ一つに手痛いしっぺ返しが待っているとも知らずに。「舌の剣(つるぎ)は命(いのち)を絶つ」という使い方もあります。軽率な発言のために自分の生命をも失うことがある。言葉は慎むべきであるという教えです。

The Parable of the Sower

After this, Jesus traveled about from one town and village to another, [ proclaiming the good news of the kingdom of God ]. The Twelve were with him, and also some women [ who had been cured of evil spirits and diseases ]: Mary ([ called Magdalene ]) [ from whom seven demons had come out ]; Joanna the wife of Chuza, the manager of Herod’s household; Susanna; and many others. These women were helping [ to support them out of their own means ].

[ While a large crowd was gathering and people were coming to Jesus from town after town ], he told this parable: “A farmer went out [ to sow his seed ]. [ As he was scattering the seed ], some fell along the path; it was trampled on, and the birds ate it up. Some fell on rocky ground, and [ when it came up ], the plants withered [ because they had no moisture ]. Other seed fell among thorns, [ which grew up with it and choked the plants ]. Still other seed fell on good soil. It came up and yielded a crop, [ (which was) a hundred times more { than (what) was sown } ].”

[ When he said this ], he called out, “[ Whoever has ears { to hear } ], let [ them hear ].”

His disciples asked him [ what this parable meant ]. He said, “The knowledge of the secrets of the kingdom of God has been given to you, but to others I speak in parables, [ so that,

“‘{ though seeing }, they may not see;
    { though hearing }, they may not understand ].’

“This is the [ meaning ] of the parable: The seed is the word of God. Those along the path are the ones [ who hear ], and then the devil comes and takes away the word from their hearts, [ so that they may not believe and be saved ]. Those on the rocky ground are the ones [ who receive the word with joy { when they hear it } ], but they have no root. They believe for a while, but in the time of [ testing ] they fall away. The seed [ that fell among thorns ] stands for those [ who hear ], but [ as they go on their way ] they are choked by life’s worries, riches and pleasures, and they do not mature. But the seed on good soil stands for those with a noble and good heart, [ who hear the word, retain it, and by { persevering } produce a crop ].

A Lamp on a Stand

“No one lights a lamp and hides it in a clay jar or puts it under a bed. Instead, they put it on a stand, [ so that those { who come in } can see the light ]. For there is nothing [ hidden ] [ that will not be disclosed ], and nothing [ concealed ] [ that will not be known or brought out into the open ]. Therefore consider carefully [ how you listen ]. [ Whoever has ] will be given more; [ whoever does not have ], [ even { what } they think { they have } ] will be taken from them.”

Jesus’ Mother and Brothers

Now Jesus’ mother and brothers came [ to see him ], but they were not able [ to get near him because of the crowd ]. Someone told him, “Your mother and brothers are standing outside, [ wanting { to see you } ].”

He replied, “My mother and brothers are those [ who hear God’s word and put it into practice ].”

Jesus Calms the Storm

One day Jesus said to his disciples, “Let [ us go over to the other side of the lake ].” So they got into a boat and set out. [ As they sailed ], he fell asleep. A squall came down on the lake, [ so that the boat was being swamped ], and they were in great danger.

The disciples went and woke him, [ saying ], “Master, Master, we’re going [ to drown ]!”

He got up and rebuked the wind and the [ raging ] waters; the storm subsided, and all was calm. “Where is your faith?” he asked his disciples.

In fear and amazement they asked one another, “Who is this? He commands even the winds and the water, and they obey him.”

Jesus Restores a Demon-[ Possessed ] Man

They sailed to the region of the Gerasenes, [ which is across the lake from Galilee ]. [ When Jesus stepped ashore ], he was met by a demon-[ possessed ] man from the town. For a long time this man had not worn clothes or lived in a house, but had lived in the tombs. [ When he saw Jesus ], he cried out and fell at his feet, [ shouting at the top of his voice ], “What do you want with me, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? I beg you, don’t torture me!” For Jesus had commanded the impure spirit [ to come out of the man ]. Many times it had seized him, and [ though he was chained hand and foot and kept under guard ], he had broken his chains and had been driven by the demon into solitary places.

Jesus asked him, “What is your name?”

“Legion,” he replied, [ because many demons had gone into him ]. And they begged Jesus repeatedly [ not to order them { to go into the Abyss } ].

A large herd of pigs was feeding there on the hillside. The demons begged Jesus [ to let { them go into the pigs } ], and he gave them permission. [ When the demons came out of the man ], they went into the pigs, and the herd rushed down the steep bank into the lake and was drowned.

[ When those { tending the pigs } saw { what had happened } ], they ran off and reported this in the town and countryside, and the people went out [ to see { what had happened } ]. [ When they came to Jesus ], they found [ the man { from whom the demons had gone out }, sitting at Jesus’ feet, { dressed } and in his right mind ]; and they were afraid. Those [ who had seen it ] told the people [ how the demon-{ possessed } man had been cured ]. Then all the people of the region of the Gerasenes asked Jesus [ to leave them ], [ because they were overcome with fear ]. So he got into the boat and left.

The man [ from whom the demons had gone out ] begged [ to go with him ], but Jesus sent him away, [ saying ], “Return home and tell [ how much God has done for you ].” So the man went away and told all over town [ how much Jesus had done for him ].

Jesus Raises a Dead Girl and Heals a Sick Woman

Now [ when Jesus returned ], a crowd welcomed him, for they were all expecting him. Then a man [ named Jairus ], a synagogue leader, came and fell at Jesus’ feet, [ pleading with him { to come to his house } { because his only daughter, a girl of about twelve, was dying } ].

[ As Jesus was on his way ], the crowds almost crushed him. And a woman was there [ who had been subject to { bleeding for twelve years } ], but no one could heal her. She came up behind him and touched the edge of his cloak, and immediately her [ bleeding ] stopped.

“Who touched me?” Jesus asked.

[ When they all denied it ], Peter said, “Master, the people are crowding and pressing against you.”

But Jesus said, “Someone touched me; I know [ that power has gone out from me ].”

Then the woman, [ seeing { that she could not go ( unnoticed ) } ], came [ trembling ] and fell at his feet. In the presence of all the people, she told [ why she had touched him ] and [ how she had been instantly healed ]. Then he said to her, “Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace.”

[ While Jesus was still speaking ], someone came from the house of Jairus, the synagogue leader. “Your daughter is dead,” he said. “Don’t bother the teacher anymore.”

[ Hearing this ], Jesus said to Jairus, “Don’t be afraid; just believe, and she will be healed.”

[ When he arrived at the house of Jairus ], he did not let [ anyone go in with him except Peter, John and James, and the child’s father and mother ]. Meanwhile, all the people were wailing and mourning for her. “Stop [ wailing ],” Jesus said. “She is not dead but asleep.”

They laughed at him, [ knowing { that she was dead } ]. But he took her by the hand and said, “My child, get up!” Her spirit returned, and at once she stood up. Then Jesus told them [ to give her something { to eat } ]. Her parents were astonished, but he ordered them [ not to tell anyone { what had happened } ].

8:1そののちイエスは、神の国の福音を説きまた伝えながら、町々村々を巡回し続けられたが、十二弟子もお供をした。 8:2また悪霊を追い出され病気をいやされた数名の婦人たち、すなわち、七つの悪霊を追い出してもらったマグダラと呼ばれるマリヤ、 8:3ヘロデの家令クーザの妻ヨハンナ、スザンナ、そのほか多くの婦人たちも一緒にいて、自分たちの持ち物をもって一行に奉仕した。
8:4さて、大ぜいの群衆が集まり、その上、町々からの人たちがイエスのところに、ぞくぞくと押し寄せてきたので、一つの譬で話をされた、 8:5「種まきが種をまきに出て行った。まいているうちに、ある種は道ばたに落ち、踏みつけられ、そして空の鳥に食べられてしまった。 8:6ほかの種は岩の上に落ち、はえはしたが水気がないので枯れてしまった。 8:7ほかの種は、いばらの間に落ちたので、いばらも一緒に茂ってきて、それをふさいでしまった。 8:8ところが、ほかの種は良い地に落ちたので、はえ育って百倍もの実を結んだ」。こう語られたのち、声をあげて「聞く耳のある者は聞くがよい」と言われた。
8:9弟子たちは、この譬はどういう意味でしょうか、とイエスに質問した。 8:10そこで言われた、「あなたがたには、神の国の奥義を知ることが許されているが、ほかの人たちには、見ても見えず、聞いても悟られないために、譬で話すのである。 8:11この譬はこういう意味である。種は神の言である。 8:12道ばたに落ちたのは、聞いたのち、信じることも救われることもないように、悪魔によってその心から御言が奪い取られる人たちのことである。 8:13岩の上に落ちたのは、御言を聞いた時には喜んで受けいれるが、根が無いので、しばらくは信じていても、試錬の時が来ると、信仰を捨てる人たちのことである。 8:14いばらの中に落ちたのは、聞いてから日を過ごすうちに、生活の心づかいや富や快楽にふさがれて、実の熟するまでにならない人たちのことである。 8:15良い地に落ちたのは、御言を聞いたのち、これを正しい良い心でしっかりと守り、耐え忍んで実を結ぶに至る人たちのことである。
8:16だれもあかりをともして、それを何かの器でおおいかぶせたり、寝台の下に置いたりはしない。燭台の上に置いて、はいって来る人たちに光が見えるようにするのである。 8:17隠されているもので、あらわにならないものはなく、秘密にされているもので、ついには知られ、明るみに出されないものはない。 8:18だから、どう聞くかに注意するがよい。持っている人は更に与えられ、持っていない人は、持っていると思っているものまでも、取り上げられるであろう」。
8:19さて、イエスの母と兄弟たちとがイエスのところにきたが、群衆のためそば近くに行くことができなかった。 8:20それで、だれかが「あなたの母上と兄弟がたが、お目にかかろうと思って、外に立っておられます」と取次いだ。 8:21するとイエスは人々にむかって言われた、「神の御言を聞いて行う者こそ、わたしの母、わたしの兄弟なのである」。
8:22ある日のこと、イエスは弟子たちと舟に乗り込み、「湖の向こう岸へ渡ろう」と言われたので、一同が船出した。 8:23渡って行く間に、イエスは眠ってしまわれた。すると突風が湖に吹きおろしてきたので、彼らは水をかぶって危険になった。 8:24そこで、みそばに寄ってきてイエスを起し、「先生、先生、わたしたちは死にそうです」と言った。イエスは起き上がって、風と荒浪とをおしかりになると、止んでなぎになった。 8:25イエスは彼らに言われた、「あなたがたの信仰は、どこにあるのか」。彼らは恐れ驚いて互に言い合った、「いったい、このかたはだれだろう。お命じになると、風も水も従うとは」。
8:26それから、彼らはガリラヤの対岸、ゲラサ人の地に渡った。 8:27陸にあがられると、その町の人で、悪霊につかれて長いあいだ着物も着ず、家に居つかないで墓場にばかりいた人に、出会われた。 8:28この人がイエスを見て叫び出し、みまえにひれ伏して大声で言った、「いと高き神の子イエスよ、あなたはわたしとなんの係わりがあるのです。お願いです、わたしを苦しめないでください」。 8:29それは、イエスが汚れた霊に、その人から出て行け、とお命じになったからである。というのは、悪霊が何度も彼をひき捕えたので、彼は鎖と足かせとでつながれて看視されていたが、それを断ち切っては悪霊によって荒野へ追いやられていたのである。 8:30イエスは彼に「なんという名前か」とお尋ねになると、「レギオンと言います」と答えた。彼の中にたくさんの悪霊がはいり込んでいたからである。 8:31悪霊どもは、底知れぬ所に落ちて行くことを自分たちにお命じにならぬようにと、イエスに願いつづけた。 8:32ところが、そこの山べにおびただしい豚の群れが飼ってあったので、その豚の中へはいることを許していただきたいと、悪霊どもが願い出た。イエスはそれをお許しになった。 8:33そこで悪霊どもは、その人から出て豚の中へはいり込んだ。するとその群れは、がけから湖へなだれを打って駆け下り、おぼれ死んでしまった。 8:34飼う者たちは、この出来事を見て逃げ出して、町や村里にふれまわった。 8:35人々はこの出来事を見に出てきた。そして、イエスのところにきて、悪霊を追い出してもらった人が着物を着て、正気になってイエスの足もとにすわっているのを見て、恐れた。 8:36それを見た人たちは、この悪霊につかれていた者が救われた次第を、彼らに語り聞かせた。 8:37それから、ゲラサの地方の民衆はこぞって、自分たちの所から立ち去ってくださるようにとイエスに頼んだ。彼らが非常な恐怖に襲われていたからである。そこで、イエスは舟に乗って帰りかけられた。 8:38悪霊を追い出してもらった人は、お供をしたいと、しきりに願ったが、イエスはこう言って彼をお帰しになった。 8:39「家へ帰って、神があなたにどんなに大きなことをしてくださったか、語り聞かせなさい」。そこで彼は立ち去って、自分にイエスがして下さったことを、ことごとく町中に言いひろめた。
8:40イエスが帰ってこられると、群衆は喜び迎えた。みんながイエスを待ちうけていたのである。 8:41するとそこに、ヤイロという名の人がきた。この人は会堂司であった。イエスの足もとにひれ伏して、自分の家においでくださるようにと、しきりに願った。 8:42彼に十二歳ばかりになるひとり娘があったが、死にかけていた。ところが、イエスが出て行かれる途中、群衆が押し迫ってきた。
8:43ここに、十二年間も長血をわずらっていて、医者のために自分の身代をみな使い果してしまったが、だれにもなおしてもらえなかった女がいた。 8:44この女がうしろから近寄ってみ衣のふさにさわったところ、その長血がたちまち止まってしまった。 8:45イエスは言われた、「わたしにさわったのは、だれか」。人々はみな自分ではないと言ったので、ペテロが「先生、群衆があなたを取り囲んで、ひしめき合っているのです」と答えた。 8:46しかしイエスは言われた、「だれかがわたしにさわった。力がわたしから出て行ったのを感じたのだ」。 8:47女は隠しきれないのを知って、震えながら進み出て、みまえにひれ伏し、イエスにさわった訳と、さわるとたちまちなおったこととを、みんなの前で話した。 8:48そこでイエスが女に言われた、「娘よ、あなたの信仰があなたを救ったのです。安心して行きなさい」。
8:49イエスがまだ話しておられるうちに、会堂司の家から人がきて、「お嬢さんはなくなられました。この上、先生を煩わすには及びません」と言った。 8:50しかしイエスはこれを聞いて会堂司にむかって言われた、「恐れることはない。ただ信じなさい。娘は助かるのだ」。 8:51それから家にはいられるとき、ペテロ、ヨハネ、ヤコブおよびその子の父母のほかは、だれも一緒にはいって来ることをお許しにならなかった。 8:52人々はみな、娘のために泣き悲しんでいた。イエスは言われた、「泣くな、娘は死んだのではない。眠っているだけである」。 8:53人々は娘が死んだことを知っていたので、イエスをあざ笑った。 8:54イエスは娘の手を取って、呼びかけて言われた、「娘よ、起きなさい」。 8:55するとその霊がもどってきて、娘は即座に立ち上がった。イエスは何か食べ物を与えるように、さしずをされた。 8:56両親は驚いてしまった。イエスはこの出来事をだれにも話さないようにと、彼らに命じられた。

きょうの潮流

半沢直樹症候群」といわれる現象があるそうです。会社や上司の悪事を暴き、不当な仕打ちに立ち向かう銀行員が人気を博したドラマ。それを見て、やる気がみなぎり、過剰な行動に走る人たちをさすのだとか▼なかには、上司に盾突いて、うとまれてしまったと嘆く知り合いも。一方で、あれはドラマの世界と、冷めた見方もあります。しかし、ドラマが描いた銀行の闇や隠蔽(いんぺい)体質についていえば、現実はかけ離れていないでしょう
▼三大メガバンクのひとつ、みずほ銀行が暴力団に多額の融資をつづけていたことを隠していました。経営トップも再三報告をうけていながら、責任を逃れるために「うそ」を重ねる悪質さ。検査で見抜けなかった金融庁の失態といい、ドラマを地でいく格好です
▼カネのにおいにつられ、銀行には闇の勢力が吸い寄せられてきます。
だからこそ、みずからの行動憲章で「市民社会の秩序や安全に脅威を与える反社会的勢力とは断固として対決する」と、うたっているのです
▼癒着は以前から問題になってきました。「バブルの張本人」といわれた元住友銀行会長の故・磯田一郎は「向こう傷を恐れるな」と収益至上をあおり、裏社会とも手を結び、数々の不祥事を起こしました。
その教訓はいまも生かされていません▼銀行は国民の財産を管理し、経済や社会に貢献する公共性の高い役割を担っています。それだけに社会的な責任も重い。「この国で必死に働くすべての人のために銀行はある」。半沢の叫びです。

Jesus Is Tested in the Wilderness

Jesus, [ (being) full of the Holy Spirit ], left the Jordan and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness, [ where for forty days he was tempted by the devil ]. He ate nothing during those days, and at the end of them he was hungry.

The devil said to him, “[ If you are the Son of God ], tell this stone [ to become bread ].”

Jesus answered, “It is written:

‘Man shall not live on bread alone.’”

The devil led him up to a high place and showed him in an instant all the kingdoms of the world. And he said to him, “I will give you all their authority and splendor; it has been given to me, and I can give it to anyone [ I want { to (give to) } ]. [ If you worship me ], it will all be yours.”

Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Worship the Lord your God and serve him only.’”

The devil led him to Jerusalem and had [ him stand on the highest point of the temple ]. “[ If you are the Son of God ],” he said, “throw yourself down from here. For it is written:

“‘He will command his angels [ concerning you ]
[ to guard you carefully ];
they will lift you up in their hands,
    [ so that you will not strike your foot against a stone ].’”

Jesus answered, “It is said: ‘Do not put the Lord your God to the test.’”

[ When the devil had finished all this { tempting } ], he left him until an opportune time.

Jesus Rejected at Nazareth

Jesus returned to Galilee in the power of the Spirit, and news about him spread through the whole countryside. He was teaching in their synagogues, and everyone praised him.

He went to Nazareth, [ where he had been brought up ], and on the Sabbath day he went into the synagogue, [ as (it) was his custom ]. He stood up [ to read ], and the scroll of the prophet Isaiah was handed to him. [ Unrolling it ], he found the place [ where it is written ]:

“The Spirit of the Lord is on me,
    [ because he has anointed me
    { to proclaim good news to the poor } ].
He has sent me [ to proclaim freedom for the prisoners
    and recovery of sight for the blind ],
[ to set { the oppressed (be) free } ],
     [ to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor ].”

Then he rolled up the scroll, gave it back to the attendant and sat down. The eyes of everyone in the synagogue were fastened on him. He began by [ saying to them ], “Today this scripture is fulfilled in your [ hearing ].”

All spoke well of him and were amazed at the gracious words [ that came from his lips ]. “Isn’t this Joseph’s son?” they asked.

Jesus said to them, “Surely you will quote this proverb to me:

‘Physician, heal yourself!’ And you will tell me, ‘Do here in your hometown [ what we have heard { that you did in Capernaum } ].’”

“Truly I tell you,” he continued, “no prophet is accepted in his hometown. I assure you [ that there were many widows in Israel in Elijah’s time, { when the sky was shut for three and a half years and there was a severe famine throughout the land } ]. Yet Elijah was not sent to any of them, but to a widow in Zarephath in the region of Sidon. And there were many in Israel with leprosy in the time of Elisha the prophet, yet not one of them was cleansed—only Naaman the Syrian.”

All the people in the synagogue were furious [ when they heard this ]. They got up, drove him out of the town, and took him to the brow of the hill [ on which the town was built ], in order [ to throw him off the cliff ]. But he walked right through the crowd and went on his way.

Jesus Drives Out an Impure Spirit

Then he went down to Capernaum, a town in Galilee, and on the Sabbath he taught the people. They were amazed at his [ teaching ], [ because his words had authority ].

In the synagogue there was a man [ possessed by a demon, an impure spirit ]. He cried out at the top of his voice, “Go away! What do you want with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have you come [ to destroy us ]? I know [ who you are ]—the Holy One of God!”

“Be quiet!” Jesus said sternly. “Come out of him!” Then the demon threw the man down before them all and came out without [ injuring him ].

All the people were amazed and said to each other, “What words these are! With authority and power he gives orders to impure spirits and they come out!” And the news about him spread throughout the [ surrounding ] area.

Jesus Heals Many

Jesus left the synagogue and went to the home of Simon. Now Simon’s mother-in-law was suffering from a high fever, and they asked Jesus [ to help her ]. So he bent over her and rebuked the fever, and it left her. She got up at once and began [ to wait on them ].

At sunset, the people brought to Jesus all [ who had various kinds of sickness ], and [ laying his hands on each one ], he healed them. Moreover, demons came out of many people, [ shouting ], “You are the Son of God!” But he rebuked them and would not allow them [ to speak ], [ because they knew { he was the Messiah } ].

At daybreak, Jesus went out to a solitary place. The people were looking for him and [ when they came to { where he was } ], they tried [ to keep him from { leaving them } ]. But he said, “I must proclaim the good news of the kingdom of God to the other towns also, [ because that is { why I was sent } ].” And he kept on [ preaching in the synagogues of Judea ].

4:14それからイエスは御霊の力に満ちあふれてガリラヤへ帰られると、そのうわさがその地方全体にひろまった。 4:15イエスは諸会堂で教え、みんなの者から尊敬をお受けになった。
4:16それからお育ちになったナザレに行き、安息日にいつものように会堂にはいり、聖書を朗読しようとして立たれた。 4:17すると預言者イザヤの書が手渡されたので、その書を開いて、こう書いてある所を出された、
4:18「主の御霊がわたしに宿っている。
貧しい人々に福音を宣べ伝えさせるために、
わたしを聖別してくださったからである。
主はわたしをつかわして、
囚人が解放され、盲人の目が開かれることを告げ知らせ、
打ちひしがれている者に自由を得させ、
4:19主のめぐみの年を告げ知らせるのである」。
4:20イエスは聖書を巻いて係りの者に返し、席に着かれると、会堂にいるみんなの者の目がイエスに注がれた。 4:21そこでイエスは、「この聖句は、あなたがたが耳にしたこの日に成就した」と説きはじめられた。 4:22すると、彼らはみなイエスをほめ、またその口から出て来るめぐみの言葉に感嘆して言った、「この人はヨセフの子ではないか」。 4:23そこで彼らに言われた、「あなたがたは、きっと『医者よ、自分自身をいやせ』ということわざを引いて、カペナウムで行われたと聞いていた事を、あなたの郷里のこの地でもしてくれ、と言うであろう」。 4:24それから言われた、「よく言っておく。預言者は、自分の郷里では歓迎されないものである。 4:25よく聞いておきなさい。エリヤの時代に、三年六か月にわたって天が閉じ、イスラエル全土に大ききんがあった際、そこには多くのやもめがいたのに、 4:26エリヤはそのうちのだれにもつかわされないで、ただシドンのサレプタにいるひとりのやもめにだけつかわされた。 4:27また預言者エリシャの時代に、イスラエルには多くのらい病人がいたのに、そのうちのひとりもきよめられないで、ただシリヤのナアマンだけがきよめられた」。 4:28会堂にいた者たちはこれを聞いて、みな憤りに満ち、 4:29立ち上がってイエスを町の外へ追い出し、その町が建っている丘のがけまでひっぱって行って、突き落そうとした。 4:30しかし、イエスは彼らのまん中を通り抜けて、去って行かれた。
4:31それから、イエスはガリラヤの町カペナウムに下って行かれた。そして安息日になると、人々をお教えになったが、 4:32その言葉に権威があったので、彼らはその教に驚いた。 4:33すると、汚れた悪霊につかれた人が会堂にいて、大声で叫び出した、 4:34「ああ、ナザレのイエスよ、あなたはわたしたちとなんの係わりがあるのです。わたしたちを滅ぼしにこられたのですか。あなたがどなたであるか、わかっています。神の聖者です」。 4:35イエスはこれをしかって、「黙れ、この人から出て行け」と言われた。すると悪霊は彼を人なかに投げ倒し、傷は負わせずに、その人から出て行った。 4:36みんなの者は驚いて、互に語り合って言った、「これは、いったい、なんという言葉だろう。権威と力とをもって汚れた霊に命じられると、彼らは出て行くのだ」。 4:37こうしてイエスの評判が、その地方のいたる所にひろまっていった。
4:38イエスは会堂を出てシモンの家におはいりになった。ところがシモンのしゅうとめが高い熱を病んでいたので、人々は彼女のためにイエスにお願いした。 4:39そこで、イエスはそのまくらもとに立って、熱が引くように命じられると、熱は引き、女はすぐに起き上がって、彼らをもてなした。
4:40日が暮れると、いろいろな病気になやむ者をかかえている人々が、皆それをイエスのところに連れてきたので、そのひとりびとりに手を置いて、おいやしになった。 4:41悪霊も「あなたこそ神の子です」と叫びながら多くの人々から出ていった。しかし、イエスは彼らを戒めて、物を言うことをお許しにならなかった。彼らがイエスはキリストだと知っていたからである。
4:42夜が明けると、イエスは寂しい所へ出て行かれたが、群衆が捜しまわって、みもとに集まり、自分たちから離れて行かれないようにと、引き止めた。 4:43しかしイエスは、「わたしは、ほかの町々にも神の国の福音を宣べ伝えねばならない。自分はそのためにつかわされたのである」と言われた。 4:44そして、ユダヤの諸会堂で教を説かれた。

ひざ軟骨減少、高齢化

 

若い人の悩み、年を取った人の悩み

年を取った人は何とか早く行きたいと願う、体を洗うのが煩わしい、体を洗ったら、あ~後4日は何とか進めると思う

若い人は明日を信じ良し何とか乗り越えようと思う、体を湯船に浸し、湯船の外で芯から汚れを落とす。そして湯船でゆったりと体を浸す。お湯から出て、3日後の風呂を楽しみとする。

But [ when they looked up ], they saw [ that the stone, { which was very large }, had been rolled away ]. [ As they entered the tomb ], they saw [ a young man { dressed in a white robe } sitting on the right side ], and they were alarmed.

“Don’t be alarmed,” he said. “You are looking for Jesus the Nazarene, [ who was crucified ]. He has risen! He is not here. See the place [ where they laid him ]. But go, tell his disciples and Peter, ‘He is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him, [ just as he told you ].’”

[ Trembling and bewildered ], the women went out and fled from the tomb. They said nothing to anyone, [ because they were afraid ].

Jesus (is) Before Pilate

Very early in the morning, the chief priests, with the elders, the teachers of the law and the whole Sanhedrin, made their plans. So they bound Jesus, led him away and handed him over to Pilate.

“Are you the king of the Jews?” asked Pilate.

“You have said so,” Jesus replied.

The chief priests accused him of many things. So agai n Pilate asked him, “Aren’t you going [ to answer ]? See [ how many things they are accusing you of ].”

But Jesus still made no reply, and Pilate was amazed.

Now it was the custom at the festival [ to release a prisoner { whom the people requested } ]. A man [ called Barabbas ] was in prison with the insurrectionists { who had committed murder in the ( uprising ) } ]. The crowd came up and asked Pilate [ to do for them { what he usually did } ].

“Do you want [ me to release to you the king of the Jews ]?” asked Pilate, [ knowing { it was out of self-interest ( that the chief priests had handed Jesus over to him ) } ]. But the chief priests stirred up the crowd [ to have { Pilate release Barabbas instead } ].

“What shall I do, then, with the one [ you call the king of the Jews ]?” Pilate asked them.

“Crucify him!” they shouted.

“Why? What crime has he committed?” asked Pilate.

But they shouted all the louder, “Crucify him!”

[ Wanting { to satisfy the crowd } ], Pilate released Barabbas to them. He had [ Jesus flogged ], and handed him over [ to be crucified ].

 

 

The Soldiers Mock Jesus

16 The soldiers led Jesus away into the palace (that is, the Praetorium) and called together the whole company of soldiers. 17 They put a purple robe on him, then twisted together a crown of thorns and set it on him. 18 And they began to call out to him, “Hail, king of the Jews!” 19 Again and again they struck him on the head with a staff and spit on him. Falling on their knees, they paid homage to him. 20 And when they had mocked him, they took off the purple robe and put his own clothes on him. Then they led him out to crucify him.

The Crucifixion of Jesus

21 A certain man from Cyrene, Simon, the father of Alexander and Rufus, was passing by on his way in from the country, and they forced him to carry the cross. 22 They brought Jesus to the place called Golgotha (which means “the place of the skull”). 23 Then they offered him wine mixed with myrrh, but he did not take it. 24 And they crucified him. Dividing up his clothes, they cast lots to see what each would get.

25 It was nine in the morning when they crucified him. 26 The written notice of the charge against him read: the king of the jews.

27 They crucified two rebels with him, one on his right and one on his left. [28] [a] 29 Those who passed by hurled insults at him, shaking their heads and saying, “So! You who are going to destroy the temple and build it in three days, 30 come down from the cross and save yourself!” 31 In the same way the chief priests and the teachers of the law mocked him among themselves. “He saved others,” they said, “but he can’t save himself! 32 Let this Messiah, this king of Israel, come down now from the cross, that we may see and believe.” Those crucified with him also heaped insults on him.

The Death of Jesus

33 At noon, darkness came over the whole land until three in the afternoon. 34 And at three in the afternoon Jesus cried out in a loud voice, “Eloi, Eloi, lema sabachthani?” (which means “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?”).[b]

35 When some of those standing near heard this, they said, “Listen, he’s calling Elijah.”

36 Someone ran, filled a sponge with wine vinegar, put it on a staff, and offered it to Jesus to drink. “Now leave him alone. Let’s see if Elijah comes to take him down,” he said.

37 With a loud cry, Jesus breathed his last.

38 The curtain of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom. 39 And when the centurion, who stood there in front of Jesus, saw how he died,[c] he said, “Surely this man was the Son of God!”

40 Some women were watching from a distance. Among them were Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James the younger and of Joseph,[d] and Salome. 41 In Galilee these women had followed him and cared for his needs. Many other women who had come up with him to Jerusalem were also there.

The Burial of Jesus

42 It was Preparation Day (that is, the day before the Sabbath). So as evening approached, 43 Joseph of Arimathea, a prominent member of the Council, who was himself waiting for the kingdom of God, went boldly to Pilate and asked for Jesus’ body. 44 Pilate was surprised to hear that he was already dead. Summoning the centurion, he asked him if Jesus had already died. 45 When he learned from the centurion that it was so, he gave the body to Joseph. 46 So Joseph bought some linen cloth, took down the body, wrapped it in the linen, and placed it in a tomb cut out of rock. Then he rolled a stone against the entrance of the tomb. 47 Mary Magdalene and Mary the mother of Joseph saw where he was laid.
