German couples enjoyed walking around Yoyogi to Shibuya district (4/19)

2013-04-29 | Guide Report

At first we stood motionless for a moment in front of “Torii” the gate located at the gateway to the main sanctuary of the shrine. This Torii gate is one of the highest wooden Torii in our country made of Japanese cedar tree.

We stepped into the gateway among the admirable forest of which young plants were donated by the people of the region over the country after the death of Emperor Meiji.

On the way into the shrine, we took attention to many Japanese sake barrels lined displayed which were donated and also vines donated from France.

A big drum sounds from the sanctuary of the shrine noticed us the beginning of big prayer.

The German couple purchased the cute charm for their grandchildren.

After leaving the Meiji Jingu Shrine, we visited the Yoyogi Arena (Yoyogi Olympic Stadium) on their request.

Then we dropped in NHK (national broadcasting network)  and walk around to Shibuya crossing.  In Shibuya many young people were hanging around and we dropped in the cafe to have a crepe.

I hope they had a fun to go around the town of young people as well admirable great shrine.
