Elephant Poem
Giant four legs
Like tree stumps
Big flopping ears
But little kind eyes.
Long strong trunk
Helps to carry things
Or makes a nice shower
And removes bark peels.
Swims very well
And can run fast
Such a strong body
Struggles to survive today.
You are the “Jumbo”
Creature in the wild
Numbers are few
Needs to be protected now.
ゾウの詩
大きく太い四本のあし
まるで木の幹のよう
ぱたぱたと耳も大きいが
やさしい目は小さく
長くしっかりした鼻
物を運んだり
水をシャワっと飛ばしたり
木の皮だって剥ぐ
泳ぐのもとてもじょうず
走るのだって速い
体も頑丈だけど
今は生き伸びるのがせいいっぱい
あなたは「ジャンボ」
野生に生きる動物
でも数は少なく
守ってあげなくては
