「蛍」

芳香を放つ夏の夜、
まだ新しい世界のなか、幸せな子は
蛾を追いかける。粉を散らして羽ばたく蛾。
ブルーベルを揺らす。きらめく露が滴る花。
知らないことばかりのこの子の目にふと入る、
輝く蛍。流れ星のように光っている、
草の川岸に。驚いて、嬉しそうに、大きな声で彼は言う、
「露の草に星がある！ つかまえて帰る！」
こうして、寝る前に彼は露に濡れた花を摘み、
柔らかな花で光の贈りものを包む。
そして夢見る、妖精のランプでお部屋がきれい……
でも朝がきて、彼は愕然とする。
光の宝もの？ 黒いゴミじゃん。
そう、輝く世界の幸せは続かない。冷たく色を失って、
吐き気をもよおす屑となる。

無言の月に支配され、
彼岸の暴風と一緒になって、
自制を忘れた高波が
怯える陸に襲いかかって圧倒する。
西の洞穴から立ちのぼる荒い突風で
巨大な波が目覚め、うねり、押し寄せる。
そして草むらから村人の死体をほじり出す、
墓場の沈黙と安らぎを打ち破って。
岸では貝殻・海藻と入りまじった
骨が、あああ！ 何度も波に打たれて白くてきれい！
唸る風も海の音も死体には聞こえない。
風土火水の戦争は、もう彼らに関係ない。
惨めなわたし、長い人生の嵐に潰れそうなわたしは、
そんな死体の安らぎが羨ましくて、見つめる目が離せない。
